Sounds like a cool dealer, but yeah, the District Rep. would look at your car on a big claim and say....nope!

Call the service manager, record him saying that cars with modification will be warrentied, then save that tape.
The only thing wrong with this, is that some states have laws about recording people w/o their consent. Check your local laws.

At Glendale Mitsubishi they are working a deal with Buscher as of right now to honor warranties of tuners who use buscher parts. I am buying the stage 1 and stage 2 kits next week and I cleared it with the dealership! No worries for me..

My dealer never said anything about my vishnu 390 kit, and they still give me my free oil changes.

Here in Washington our dealer has hooked up with WORKS and offer a package that offers 340hp on the VIII (probably more on the IX).

I agree with Cofeeslug, there is always one hot car after another coming out that you
will want to upgrade to before you maximize the warranty term.

Mitsubishi does not sell extended warranties.

What you got is an extended service contract provided by some other company.

MMNA, go screw yourself - warranty issues

Captial Mitsubishi in San Jose, CA has taken about 6 weeks. How much is insurance for a month?

My new evo ix is still stranded there because of their horrible service. So here's the timeline:
Week 1- wait for the mitsu rep because they want to deny warranty on my 4000 mile car.
Week 2 - Warranty got approved, and part has been "ordered"
Week 3 - 6- the mechanic is "still working on it".

This is my only car, and it's ridiculous that they also beat around the bush when I also ask for a temporary car as stated by my warranty! After calling 1-888-MITSU2005, I got tired of hearing
"We'll get back to you as soon as we can", yeah right...

So in conclusion, this will probably be my last Mitsubishi product ever. And don't tell me an o2 sensor install takes this long... i'm a freaggin engineer, and I swear I can do it in my sleep with an open ended wrench.

If you're reading this Mitsubishi, expect me to write a lovely letter to the BBB.
