Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
Yeah that hole in the door sounds like paintless dent removal to me. They will usually drill a hold there if they are unable to fix the dent through an accessible spot. They usually will fill that hold up so water doesn't get into it though. Good luck.

ah man, if you found it out like the first week i'm sure they would fix it! my folks got their corolla home and found a cracked lip and took it back the next day and they fixed it for free...hope it works out.
actually they can do whatever they want. They deny the warranty then you have to try to use the magnusson warranty act to get it validated. Sema lists steps if your warranty should ever be denied. When my honda warranty got voided(due to aftermarket part use) I followed these steps up to the consumer protection agency. I still had the dmv and the federal trade commision to go. Cpa guy sided with honda stating they gave good explantaions of how my parts caused the failure and since they don't have qualified mechanics to take apart your car and actually find out if it was the aftermarket parts that did it he had to side with honda. Then he went on telling me to go call dmv or ftc which has these mechanics. But then they would take my car for an extended period of time, teear it apart, and might not even side with me. I had third and fifth gear pop outs and grinds which honda had a tsb for and I still lost. By this time fifth gear would pop out all the time(hardly had a fith gear) so I decided to give up and swap the 02 tranny i bought used off a buddy of mine. So if you mod you are guilty til you prove yourself innocent in the dealerships eyes. I was in contact with some people on the honda boards that had the same problems I had and had aftermarket parts and got they problem fixed with honda overnighting parts for them and giving them free 60,000 mile maintance. These are the exceptions and some dealerships will warranty modded cars but I wouldn't count on it. I would call better business burea and consumer protection agency if you realy have a stock shifter.

I don't know if I ever go to itsu and they give me ome sh*t like that I'd probably beat the f*ck out of whoever said something so stupid!!!
I've worked at a car dealership for a long time and they will deny you warranty work if you modify the cars performance, ie. intake, exhaust, boost controller, flash, etc.
There is no what they SHOULD do, it's what they can and will do.

And there isn't much Mistsu needs to prove. If you have mods that's proof enough to deny you work.
non power mods and warranty
What mods can I do and not affect my warranty at all? Can I add a sway bar, strut tower bars, gauges? What else can you do that would actualy be usefull to bring out the cars natural potential?
I would imagine mods like those would lay the ground work for "car abused"
Any time you show the service adjuster that you have done something to change the way the car works, to be driven in a more agressive manner, is probably grounds for that.
Do they have a leg to stand on, no, its heresay, and its probably easier to claim warranty with those types of mods.
