thanks for your help guys
Which warranty? Bumper to bumper or powertrain? I got my car to the dealership with 3 miles left on my 3 yr./36,000 mi. and they did something along the lines of a 26-point inspection.

Do you have any mods? If so they wont cover anything anyway. I would try to find any TSB's for your year/model as those may be the weak points you need to look at.

Most dealers have a free __ point inspection that they can do. If you call them and say "hey, my car is almost out of warranty can you find ONLY problems that are warranty for me?" They will most likely not want to help you. If you ask them if they provide a UCI or a free ___ point inspection insted then when you get there let them know that you are almost out of base warranty then they will be more likely to help.

HAHAHAHA!

If you have not had any problems yet then i would not worry about it and continue taking care of your car as you have been. Good luck.

warranty woes

The last time i drove the evo, it started getting a horribly loud decel noise. So i take it to the dealer, and i was told that the decel noise was caused by my aftermarket short shifter that i installed. So because of that, they wont look into it

The only problem is my shifter is stock.

Isnt that special

that's ridiculous.. how did they come to the conclusion that your shifter was a short-throw or aftermarket when it's really not? do you have any other modifications? if not then you should contact upper management ie dm or corporate

Is your car used?
They told me I had an aftermarket turbo and suspension 1 week after I bought the car and it was still stock, so I guess this is common.
