One thing I forgot to mention: they say the part is back-ordered.

I say: not my ******* problem. Take one off one of the bastards you have sitting on the lot...

I would call the dealership and ask to speak to the service manager. Squeaking loudly will not help, be polite and mature. There is no reason for them to not fix this under warranty. If they still don't help just go to another dealer. I would bet that its a mix-up

Good luck and be persistent

I missed your post on the back-order, what is its ETA?

I would confirm that with another dealer.

I would say no! I have an 05 that came with free maintenance for 45k miles. I have never had a problem.

Are you asking if they can void your warranty if you do your own oil changes? No, as long as you use motor oil with the same specifications as those in the manual.

Or are you asking if they can void your warranty for your other mods while they are changing your oil? Not really, but it will depend on the dealer. Some dealers will try to void a warranty for something as small as changing bulbs, some won't. Legally they should only be able to void your warranty on specific parts of the car if they can prove that your modifications have caused some damage or do not perform the same or better than the stock parts. Of course, if they do decide to void your warranty you will most likely be out of luck unless you want to hire a lawyer and go after them.

The dealer is cool about my mods. They did tell me if there is an issue caused by my mods I would not be covered.

Yeah actually they can void your warranty for an oil change. Just keep your receipts for the oil and filter... at least that is what my dealer told me (the dealer i go to is awesome, they fix cars with mods all the time...as long as the mod didn't cause the problem of course).

It is very subjective, it depends on the dealer. My dealer is aware that I do my engine, tranny, transfercase oil changes and it is ok for them..

YES! & no depends on what you mean by "changes".. NO thay cannot void it if you do your changes yourself, but YES they can if you change the recommended grade or the recommend brand assuming they recommend a brand for your car,, it is right on the cap on the 1X so you may want to look into it further..

You are about dead anyway if you keep moding... 12.2 thats a hot one!
