Warranty question.

Hey I just bought My Evo 2 weeks ago and wanted to ask if I got ripped of.

I bought it from SC Mitsu and the financial Dept charged me 2000 Dollars for the 100k/10 year warranty, I asked them 2 if I have to get it and they said that its a must and since Im financing 10k I have no choice but to pay the 2k for the warranty.
is the warranty supposed to be free or not?

I just heard thats its free
I got the car for 35k out the door. but If I didn't have to pay the 2k extra then is there any thing I could do to get my money back?

10 year 100k mile warranty is standard on new evo's...That's means you should not be charged extra for it...

Skip calling the dealer and just call Mitsubishi Corporate and ask them why you had to pay for the warranty which was supposed to be included with your car. I am sure they would be happy to hear that one of thier dealers are trying to charge for it. I am sure they will settle things with the dealer for you.

Go back and kick them in the huevos. (i.e. kick him in the ball sack.) It's standard mang! I'm not mexican, but I still know that you should kick him in the huevos for that.

Did you reread the paperwork before you posted? SC Mitsu has a very good rep on these boards and it would be a shame for that to get ruined because you misunderstood what the $2k was for. I have customers all the time who hear what they want to hear rather than what I'm saying. I'm not trying to bust your *****, but it would be more responsible if you proof read your contract and THEN tell us which line item the $2k lines up with. Maybe it's an extended service warranty, rather than a powertrain warranty? I know my '05 has free 5 year/50k mile scheduled maintenance. Could it be that?

no the guys said its for the 100k/10 year warranty/
this is what I know so far, when I asked them if it was required they said you need to get this if your financing the car for the first time.
could this be the case, that I'm financing for the first time.

Su37su,

The 10 yrs 100k that you bought is a bumper to bumper not the powertrain you have 10 yrs 100k miles warranty on powertrain..now the bumper to bumper warranty that you got its an optional you can cancel it anytime you want,if you dont like it just cancel it....and i will help you out if you can just send me a letter stating that you want to cancel your bumper to bumper warranty and i will take care of it...

If you have any question pls dont hesitate to call me i will be at the dealership today until 5pm

PS. If anybody has issue with anything with SC mitsubishi pls let me know right away so i can resolved it as fast as i can coz i work directly with the owner so i can resolved it faster that anybody else...dont hesitate to give me a call..

Thank You
