I wouldnt call the oil changes a warranty. They should have no reason to not do the oil changes like theyre suppose to, a mod isnt going to change the way they change the oil.

If you purchased an extended warrenty through the dealer you can normally cancell it and claim the remaining cash value. I cancelled mine within a month and got all the cash back. check what it says on the extended warrenty booklet.

My guess is no, because I know for a fact Nissan doesnt cover it for their cars. Plus Mitsu doesnt like to cover much of anything

I would have to say NO. This part is consider wear and tear from the factory.

Transmission warranty issue, Help!~

Hi guys

i had a tilton twin plate clutch put in couple weeks ago
and it drives great, it makes squeaking noise when u slip it during changing gears, or get the car to move at 1st gear, whcih doesn't bother me, i thought it's normal

last week, i just noticed some oil leak underneath the transmission
it's not so bad, couple drips every night, guessing it's the half shaft seal?
and i also noticed some noise that comes from the transmission when the car is slowly moving at 1st gear

ANYWAYS, MY QUESTION IS :

my car's got some mods, cams, injectors, fuel pump, aftermarket clutch, exhaust, intake, no cat.......etc

and for 03 evo, we have 36000miles warranty for transmission

my car's at 35600 miles right now.........
with all the mods i have, is it possible that the transmission is still under warranty?

i set up an appointment with dealer tomorrow, but right now i'm having 2nd thought, not sure if i will bring my car in or not

please advice............thanks!!!!!!!

Did the dealer put the clutch in? If not, why would it be under warranty? For the fluid leak that popped up after you had the tranny out of the car? Or the noises after putting in a twin disk? I would think not. The t-case o-ring was probably damaged during the clutch job, causing the leak. Twin disk clutches are noisy, the dealer can't do a thing about that.

thanks for quick reply, i think u guys r right, i'm stupid going to the dealer
ok i made up my mind now,

the leak popped up after the clutch install, but the noise, i thought it's been there before
but before the tilton, i had exedy twin plate

the noise doesn't sound like normal clutch noise, sounds something wrong with transmission
i'm not 100% sure tho

by the way, 992qnt

1:55.4 seems very fast at mid ohio

my friend timed me when i was there, i was around 2:05 , with the chicans

If you had a tranny noise before the clutch change, you should have taken it in then, you may have had a chance. You don't have that many power mods, so you would have had a decent argument.

1:55 is pretty slow actually. It was my first time there and my instructor was ****. I'm going back there on the 21st, and I'll be disappointed if I don't get into the 1:40's. Weather permitting of course.

The tilton makes alot of noise. It sounds like stuff is broke and it is not. The leak could be brake fluid from your throwout bearing leaking from the fittings or just out of the cylnder.
