hehe, just to chime in... you should have asked more questions about the warranty b4 you let go of 2,000 dollars.

and when you bought your car you signed an agreement(binding by law) that if you had any problems you would confront the dealer FIRST before seeking a lawyer or contacting the manufacturer. so be careful who you start complaining to. call SC and give them a chance first.

i've been in the car business for quite some time and i know that a big dealer like SC would disclose everything because even the smallest lawsuit nowadays is very bad for business.

edit: good to see you got taking care of.

You paid 32k for an IX MR? They're asking 32k for an RS where I live.

Thats B.S. Tell you what, go to your bank and get your warranty throught them. Once your factory warranty expires you can take your car WHEVER you want aka a real performance shop to fix your car. And a plus I got a 100,000 warranty and when I bought it it had 12600 miles so Im coverd through 112600 miles. And if i dont use the warranty I get refunded in full by my bank see if you got it through yours...

i still have my cars 3 yr 36k warranty and i bought the 2k$ warranty but i have yet to use it since my original warranty is in place and seeing how the dealer responds to me modding my car im withdrawing my 2k and gettin my money back "imo" if your going to mod then you'll just end up voiding the warranty and losing the money anywayz.

I just send Mark at SC mitsu a letter stating that I want to cancel my extended warranty, I could just use that money for back up incase the clutch goes bad or when the tires wear out.
I will try your idea Tonz of fun.

dealers charging gap insurance is normal right?

If you mod your car you will not have a warranty...So I would have spent the $2,000.00 on mods

extended warranty buy back?

i purchased my 03 Evo in Dec of 04, it was used. i must of missed this (or just forgotten about it) but they "threw in" the extended warranty for the LOW,LOW price of $2300 .
my question is, will they buy back this warranty after a year and four months? its something i don't need and haven't had to use and besides, i'm lightly modded.
if anyone has any FIRST HAND EXPERIANCE with this, or works at a dealship please post and help a guy out. thanks!
