Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
I had a dealer in Selma, CA say the same about a Lanzer OZ with Exhaust and Intake. (He said it was too fast) I asked him if he was serious and he said yes. I then asked for the district Representative and had my paint fixed. (Side skirts chipping)

I took my car to the dealership with 36,020 miles on it because of the CF spoiler, and they tried to tell me it wasnt under warranty. I had to argue with the Service Manager and made him call mitsubishi to find the TSB on it. I was standing in the service bay cursing at the guy and everything
Usually, you dont want to act ingnorant or pissed off at a situation like this.
Especially if you are talking to a service manager.
The way to approach these kind of situation is to be calm and try to be polite ro whomever you're talking to.
Back in 03, when I got my first evo there was dust underneath the paint of the front right fender. Found out 4 days after I bought the car.
I spoke to the service manager politely explaining the situation.
He repainted the front right fender. No questions asked.
He apologized about the situation and told me it can happen sometimes.
He even gave me a rental car at their expense.
Try not to be rude to every single person you talk to.
That is my advice.
Good luck.

mits never has warrantied any paint reguardless of excuses.. I had paint just flake off my lower right fender near the door.. I was told sorry cant fix it unless you want to pay for it. told me of some places to go get it airbrushed. I just used touch up paint from when I got a new rear bumper, looks ok but not the same

Warranty Question
I am buying a 2006 EVO IX with 96 miles from someone who bought the car in Jan. What part of the warranty is transferable. Someone told me the 10 year engine/tranny warranty is not something that goes to the new owner. What about the scheduled maintenance/oil change, tire rotation, and 4yr 50k part.
I'll be nice this time, but in the future please search for the answer:

Water pump started leaking for some odd reason, dealer replaced it without hesitation. Also, I went in yesterday to ask about getting the spoiler replaced because of fading. Spoiler was ordered with no hesitation as well.
