Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
rim warranty
i had a problem with my enkei rims . they logo basicly washed off of them luckly i got them warrantied i was wondering if anyone else was having this problem . also im trying to figure out why it came off maybe the road salt or the high pressure water from the pressure sprayer or maybe just from the chemicals use from washing!!
You have to go to the dealer and they will give you a portion of your money back by the amount of miles that are on the car. For you it should be the mileage at purchase vs the amount of miles that you have driven the car. That is what I would think, although I have no experience with having an extended warranty on a used car. I am going to go sell my extended warranty back soon as well.
you should never use wheel cleaners imo. if you need to, you haven't washed your wheels for a long time cause you need something strong like a wheel cleaner to remove the brake dust. if you look at most wheel cleaners, some say "safe for clear coats" but if you read the fine print, a lot of them say test in a inconspicuous area to make sure it doesn't discolor. that tells me right there to stay away.
keep this in mind, whatever you dare wash your car with (reg. car soap), should be safe enough for your wheels. i wash my wheels 3 or 4 times a week ( i hate brake dust). i can wash mine off with just water.
Also windex or window cleaner works great!

mitsu has been snooping in on events and forums for awhile now
you post something on the internet and if it can be linked to your car, then mitsu probally knows about it, im sure it doesnt cost much to pay someone to site down and check forums everyday. it may be far fetched, but its the internet after all, you can find out about anyone, whos willing to put it all online for the world to read.
i agree witht he fact that, if the car is kept in warrenty range, and only installs parts that add to safety regulations (parts that dont affect the engine and drivetrain) the warrenty shouldnt be voided.
why would mitsu market a rally bred car only to smack the buyers in the face for using it for what it was built for "competition"

Until the early months of 2005, Subaru was handing out free 1-year memberships to the SCCA, then turned around and voided warranties for using it.
It's one thing if a company encourages driving fast in their commercials, but it's a polar opposite when companies are inviting you to beat the hell out of your car....
This has been a repost on most subie and evo forums. Yes they will void your warranty if they found out your car has been competing in the SCCA. Everyone once in a while, they would go though the VIN # that participate in the SCCA and find out if they have any warranties with Mitsubishi. Since their aren't alot of evo competing in SCCA usually, its easy to track us evo drivers down. I remember a post from a dad complaining about how Mitsu voided the warranty when his son took it to a SCCA track event.

I got my wheels rotated at my local dealership and after I got home, I noticed there was a ton of scratches around the hub cap holes, and 2 of the rims' center caps. Is there anything I can do/say to the dealership to get this repaired or replaced?
