I'm making an appointment to talk to the district manager about it, is there anything I can go in there armed with to argue that it should still be covered with my mods? I'm trying to say that the mods I put on have no effect on the wear of the synchro, so it should still be covered. I know people here said that they were covered with similar mods. Any ideas??

get ready for a long uphill battle, once they deny your warranty then its a uphill battle. Go through the district manager, then mna, then cosumer protection agency, dmv, and federal trade commision. Got to sema.com and follow the steps they set foward to get a warranty validated under magnusson warranty act. I got to the consumer protection agency with my honda tranny before I had to swap a used one in. I had no fifth gear and hardly any third so I just had to give up but I hope you stick it to em'. Good luck man.
see what proof they have of your part use. If they didn't take pictures of the parts on your car they have no proof if you take them off. When hodna voided my warranty they had pictures of all the parts I put on my civic but if mitsu didn't do this yet you might luck out.

The TSB only applies to the 03 and 04 models. I was recently at the dealer here complaining about my 3rd gear and he showed me the TSB. So as I said earlier, get as much help with it as you can.
iv had mine replaced 3 times.... now they dont wanna cover it. theyre telling me its normal but the rep that owns an evo that rode with me was like...whoa, thats deff not normal
i hate my dealership they denied my warrenty on my TC, my 4th gear and 5th gear synchros, my 2nd gear that just doesnt go in, my PINK (bcus theyre fading) brembos, and theyve had my wing on backorder since december(clear is chipping off), lol and my cigarette lighter has fallen apart and they dont wanna cover anything...only my wing but its been on backorder since who knows when. The funny thing is that all my mods are taken off when i take it into the dealership except for my tbe but i put on my stock cat so they dont fu*k with me, and yet they still do. Good Luck man take them a copy of the Morgasun-moss act.
On the rear fenders of my 2003 EVO all the paint is chipped away and rust is beginning to form. This appears to be due to poor alignment of the rear quarters.
Has anyone had this item corrected under warranty?

its a long bull**** road ahead, i just have a small defect and they dont want to help me at all, and my car doesnt even have 2k miles on it, take it to them and see what they say, but it will be a bunch of hoops to jump through
I took mine to the dealer because the paint was fading a little on the door handle. The dealership said that someone must have sideswiped my car "softlly" and somehow manage to lighten the paint on the handle. Now, how this is possible is beyond me as there is not a scratch or dent anywhere. The dealer could easily say that it happened because you were hit or rubbed up against by something or that it was from rock chips hitting your car and not warranty it. It all depends on the dealership, so its worth a shot to take it in.
It's to bad you never saw the posts that were made about this problem. If you get it fixed make sure you go out and purchase this http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=15&page=1
