Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
This must be your first new car because there are no dealers or car manufacturers that I know of that will warranty tires. It is common sense that tires are a wear and tear item since they will have to be replaced sometime or another.
Your clutch problem is a maybe. The dealer might be able to cover it under warranty should it fail shortly after you purchased the vehicle. However, if they take apart the clutch and find abuse on the flywheel, guess who foots the bill...not the dealer.
You might want to educate yourself on the car purchasing process becuase those sales people will say almost anything to get you to buy a car, including lying (but usually its ignorance about what they are selling). What was said to you orally by a salesperson will not obligate them to honor your warranty claim. You need to read your Owner's Manual and in particular the Warranty coverage booklet. The scope and limitations of your warranty are described in that booklet. Read it and use it if you are going to make a warranty claim.
I am sorry to hear about your mess, but I don't think there is any dealer that will warranty your tires (try the tire manufacturer since they have a separate warranty).
The thing about the Evo is that buyers and potential buyers fail to realize that this is a high performance machine which requires high performance parts. This usually means that replacement parts and maintenance are not cheap. I usually say, if you can't afford to maintain the car, you are wasting your money buying the car.

They are in the buisness of lieing. Most don't get paid unless they move product. If you don't have it in writing, you're **it out of luck. I was lucky enough to get my warranty to cover a brand new engine and turbo when mine blew 2 months ago. I'm willing to bet you'd spend more money fighting it in court and nothing would be solved till many many days down the line. I wish you luck with what ever you choose. Let us know how it goes.
Sticky tires and a weak clutch (to save the drivetrain) is a factory benefit not a defect. Plus, if you just bought the car a few months ago, you should not be going through a clutch and 4 tires already unless you have been driving very very hard.
The vast majority of cars do not have wear and tear items covered under warranty (tires, brakes, clutch...).
Sorry but it sounds like this car is going to kill you financially if you continue to drive like that. My vote for you would be to trade it in, take the loss, and get a car that will not require so much maintainence. A good place to start for info would be any of the car magazines long-term review sections and edmunds.com.

I feel your pain.
I have the 3yr 36,000mi and also the 10yr 100,000mi warranty. But I've done my homework before buying the car from Evom. reading up on the warranty horrors. After I drove the car off the dealer lot, I've never gone back for anything.
Like everyone said about the salesperson saying anything to sell you the car, I feel it's a false information given by the dealership. Lawsuit is definitely in order, but will cost a bit.
Report them to the BBB maybe?

How many miles do you have on the tires and clutch? If you really have good tread on the outside of the tires and no tread at all in the middle, then it sounds like you have been driving with drastically over-inflated tires for a while.
verbal contract against a written contract doesn't mean **** you had to sign you warranty that really sucks about your car. I was also told my clutch was covered but I read it was not
working for the dealer in the srvice dept. i can under stand your delema. but the fact still remains there is no warranty on anything that is a wear item. clutch, brakes, drive belts, and tires. the salesperson definetly lied to you.
I bought the car in August, and I have 9,000 miles on it. (I had to drive to Michigan and back from nc)
And as far as the tires, the tires have tread exept for the inner edge of the tires. Which isn't over inflation.
And as for pounding the crap out of my car....I would never pound my precious.

That sucks, as far as warranties on wear and tear items, I remember BMW offering warranties on brakes, tires, and even winshield wipers. (granted this isn't a BMW and the fact that winshield whipers are cheap) still these where normal wear and tear items that a manufcturer warrantied.
How many miles did you have and how long ago was it purchased?
Worst case, don't have them do any work to it. Go get aftermarket wheels (or stock used ones) and maybe an aftermarket clutch depending on your future performance expectations.

did you rotate your tires properly at 5000 miles? the wear on the inner edge is due to the negative camber that is set from the factory. it's supposed to be wearing the inner edge, that's why we have to rotate our tires often.
if we didn't have negative camber, our cars wouldn't corner like they do.
the manual also says to rotate every 3750 miles under extreme driving conditions.

I bought the car brand new off the lot, and it had like 4 miles on it. Also I have known how to drive a manual for a loooong time.
I can totally afford the car, I am just having some issues that I would rather not discuss right now. I will eventually get all of this fixed...I am just sad that I was given false information about the warranty on my car. Because, I was told that These major items were covered for a certain amount of time, I didn't make an allowance in the beginning of my ownership of this car for repairs. But now I know, and I will just have to deal with it. I should have read the warranty myself before hand. So...yeah..Hindsight is DEFINITELY better than foresight.
