Labor is free cuz they are swapping out the cailpers under warranty. He just told me to buy pads and they would just install them while they were out!

well when it all gets said and done and everything is on the car will be the time to report back to us. It still has to be approved, just because the service manager said we will report it doesn't mean that you will get all that stuff taken care of. keep in contact with them and keep us posted.

Oil change and warranty

I have a 2005 RS. The last time I took it in for an oil change I was charged $80... I was told by two dealers that as long as I have records regular of Mobil 1 oil changes, my warranty would hold (I'll have Mitsu oil filters and Mobil 1 oil changes at my local oil changer).

Has any body gone this route with 3rd party oil changes?

Thanks.

Yep I run mitsi filters with royal purple synthetic and change it every 3000 miles. guys at the dealership says as long as I have proof then it is ok. Now runniing something else may cause some warranty problems. Plus the dealership is so freaking expensive.

My guess would be do it your self save $40+ save your receipt take photos or a video of you doing the oil changes, and keep them for records. LOL

Just DIY. That's what I've been doing for years with all my rides. Mitsu oil filter and Mobil 1. Just keep your receipts and record your mileage at each oil change.
