So my question is when I eventually get the evo and drive it out of the showroom, in the unlikely event something goes wrong with it, where will i stand, will Mitsubishi HQ direct be able to replace the faulty part? Or should I not be worrying about the warranty in the first place? And why do you guys in the UK/US get at least 3 yr warranty?

Also, what colour shall I get bearing in mind it was 47 Celsius today - choice: Flame Red, Black, Electric Blue, Solar Yellow, Cool Silver & Frost White.

sweet...i lived in Abu Dahbi for 11 years

I went for my first service 2 days ago and they havent seen an evo in there for 2 months the last one that was there was sheikh maktoums son's car.
The 1'st service is behind the showroom after that its in garhood area.
I'm not taking it to them anynmore because they are just not used to dealing with evo's Speak to the guy in the showroom who deals with the evo he will give you contacts for the best people to work/service/ask questions about the car.

-He will get you a good insurance deal aswell.

I cant wait till it starts getting cooler around here!!

By the way Dubai is one of the fastest growing city in the world.
by 2010 it will be the #1 tourist destination.

Ever heard of the Burj al arab 7 star hotel? or maybe the tallest building in the world?
Dubai has something like 40% of the worlds cranes.
Yes alot has changed since u went away lol.

you should not be given a dime, a boost controller is worse than anything, higher boost levels at lower rpms even if you claim you had it set at stock boost levels,no matter what anyone says on the forum that it is ok to have one it leans the car out and puts alot more pressure on the internals. This is all you take responsibility for what you did plus you will never win that

Your claim will be denied trust me. You probably spun the number one rod bearing like me. You removed ur stock cat and put after market parts that produced more horse power than stock. You ran your car on low oil. It is the owners responsiblilty to check the oil daily like stated in the manuel I believe. whatever you do do not drive your car like I did, you will grind the metal up into finer peices causing it impossible to clean the oil cooler and turbo. You will damage your rockers and lifters and scare your cams if you continue to drive your car. I will finsih my post by saying My 2.3 RRE will be done in a week.

It all depends on how bad you wan the car. If you want it bad enough you should have no problems if you maintain it as suggested in the owners manual.

Unfortunately I hope you have deep pockets. It is hard and expensive to fight Mitsubishi on warranty issues. I talk to 2 service managers local and they are VERY strict with warranty on the evo. Good luck.

it will make my blood boils everytime i read something like this! Mitsu dealer never stand behind their cars! always try to blame it on something! i really hope we can do something abt it!

I would rather put out the money to rebuild the engine with better parts than to spend my time talking to the dealer!
