its gotta be national anyway for them to care i feel. Besides - there are a ton of people who got their warranties voided for STUPID reasons.

I understand mitsu stance on not wanting to pay for things that mods caused, but they dont even bother looking at the car - they void a warranty on the spot - thats bs,

i dont give a crap about fees - i just want to stick it to them

thats the reason they are tanking - cause they dont know how to treat customers!!

 

When I went to get my spoiler looked at for the fading clear. The mitsu rep agreed to replace it but then goes on to ask me if I have tranny problems (which I dont) (knock wood). He then tells me that mitsu is not replacing anymore trannys or transfercases under warranty cause kids are beating on their cars. I laughed and told him thats bs.

 

the real question to know the answer to is how many people had tranny, and tc problems? and how many mitsu fixed? and how many they denied ya i understand that some of us may of had some serious modification but its those of us like me that dont and had problems.....now i do agree ya if your car is making 400whp or higher and your on a stock tc and tranny and it breaks well, don't Bit#h its your fault not mitsu's but mitsu is basicly selling cars with warrantys they dont honor this is my gripe...

 

My 5th gear syncro is messed up - thats tranny related lol.

Why dont you get the VIII wing re-finished by a reputible body shop? Mitsu no longer makes them and now they replace with the IX wing which is plastic w/ carbon fiber center....no longer full carbon, which imo is worth having re-cleared....its kinda like down grading to me? anyway just my .02 ...

 

probably because I didn't know that t hey were no longer producing the wing.
that sucks the idiot who owned this car before me should have been up on his ****. Now i'm running around patching this and that, but to be fair I used all of these deficiencies to get a much lower price on the car

I had the fifth gear syncro work refused by the dealership becacuse of the aftermarket clutch they installed. Sign me up!

 

Any good body shop could wet sand the old clear off and then re-clear it, It cant be that big of a deal....I have seen people on here strip the paint and then clear the carbon fiber for a full carbon wing look, so if that can be done refinishing the center section should be no problem.....

I have a spot where something took a small chunk of clear off my wing, I was mad but I will take it somewhere and see if it can be fixed...Other than that I wax my wing every 2 weeks or so to help prevent fading and peeling, but even so im sure its repairable....?

 

I have a 03 with 31k miles. I have had it in 6 times to have the tranny fixed they keep giving me bull**** reasons and have only replaced syncros. Now my warranty is up and they wont do anything. I know how hard it is to fight with them.

BTW, mitsu does treat younger(im 19) Evo owners like ****.

 

After dealing with warranty coverage being denied on my spoiler for the clear pealing and a fried turbo at 20k theycome through. All 4 brembos replaced for free. i guess theres a first for everything!
