My dealship is a mod friendly (very very friendly) dealer.
I also bought my car used six month ago at 21,000 miles now I'm at 30K
I'm consider the extended b to b extend warranty too. I know engine and tranny is good up to 62K right? anyways I'll ask my dealer tomm and find out how much the extended warranty is.
I do know that it's always the best to buy extended warranty from factory cause they will fix EVERYTHING. I have friends who bought extended warranty from aftermarket place and just screw cause a lot things aren't cover in the warranty. So be aware.

evo's warranty

Hey everyone, i own a 2005 evo MR edition. i just reached 3k miles this week, i was thinking of adding some aftermarket products. mainly an RS*R GTII exhaust. I was wondering if that would kill my warranty. Has anyone had any trouble with this issue when bringing it back into your dealer? Thanks alot for your help

do a search on warrenty. This has been asked many, many times. I believe that a cat-back is ok as long as it takes the same path and bends as oem. It will also greatly depend on your dealer regarding what they allow.

In reality it depends on your dealer and their regional rep. Current thinking is if you mod it you should assume you'll get screwed.

A quick search will give you tons of info on that topic. To answer your question it depends on your stealership. Some are mod friendly others will give you crap about using a KN drop in. When I got my car I called around to the local stealers and asked if a intake, BOV, TBE would void my warrenty. They said yes. I said ok which one they said all of them. I guess it isn't your whole warrenty just whatever part you change. Hope this helps.

You'd almost definitely be okay if you changed back, but I wouldn't necessarily consider that a good idea if you're going to the dealer regularly (i.e. for service work.) I had that strategy on a car a few years ago and it became REALLY REALLY inconvenient and I dreaded doing it after the first 2-3 times. Needless to say, it didn't last long and I stopped demodding my car every time I took it in.

I have an MR too. My dealer said catback and drop-in are OK. I will be doing both along with MBC, SAFC, and JDM MR BOV, which I'll just remove when I take it for servicing. Wish I could do cams and fuel pump too, but oh well.

I have a Buschur 3" cat back with Magnaflow and K&N drop in. My throw out bearing just cracked in half and clutch was permanently engaged and pedal would not go down more than an inch. They didn't say anthing about the mods. They are replacing the clutch under warranty with no question. My MR only had 5500 miles on it when the TOB took a sh*t. I would definitely feel them out up front though from the posts I have read.
