Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
I think it is always wise to consult with the DSM before you buy an aftermarket clutch/flywheel for your EVO. Make sure its "OK" with them before it is purchased and installed, just to be safe ... I think its fool hardy to waste thousands of $ of potential warranty work over a $450 part.
I think it is important that the DSMs also need to see it from the consumer's point of view ... that we don't want to keep replacing a stock part that keep failing within a short period of time ... right now I'm at 7000miles and still running strong on the stock clutch but I've also been driving manual transmission cars for a while, to know what to do and what not to do ...

extended warranty
Just wanted everyone's thought's on extended warranty companies. I have an 03 evo with 30,000 miles and my B-to-B warranty is about to expire. I have had several problems with my EVO the first of which was buying it used with 21,000 miles I have had to nickel and dime this thing almost every month b/c mitsu voided my warranty at my first trip. I have thought seriously about selling and buying an STI due to the mod friendly dealer in my area I have also thought about getting an 05 evo with the 5yr B-toB and 10yr powertrain but then i would still not be able to mod my car. I talked with warranty direct and they will not void my warranty for simple mods like intake/exhaust and such. the price for thier B-to-B warranty is right about $2500 for a 4yr/100,000 mile warranty with 0 deductable what do you all think is this worth it
any info is welcome thanks

I would recomend trying to find other mitsu dealership that are more mod friendly before you consider buying a new evo with a better warranty.I bought my car used with 10k on it.Right away i took it to the nearest dealership.I told them right away about the mods that came with it,they were ok with it. My friend with a evo introduced me to the reps he's been dealing with. In the future im planing on extending my b-to-b and powertrain warranty.
thats weird it seems like every dealership have their own policy. As a matter of fact I asked my guy about an extended warranty two weeks ago because I wasn't sure if thats something I can only buy when the car is new from them. He did say I could still purchase it. Have you tried other mitsu dealer regarding the extended warranty?
