" Mitsu's service is like a **** left unflush for days in a toilet. "

LMFAO..... so true.. Ive had mine in for grinding issues at MM in AUrora Il

I was blown off both times as normal.......Currently i cant justify spending any more of my precious off time to deal with the dealer. (no pun intended)

So i just have to shift like a grandpa to keep grinds away...........

Mitsu looks for anything and everything to void warranty. My stock clutch line had failed and was leaking. They told me they wouldn't warranty it because my brake fluid was blue(ate super blue). I informed them that it was above they're standards for brake fluid. They wanted to have me send it out and pay for chemical testing to prove it.

actually none besides the turbo back exhaust and tial bov... i pretty much stripped the car. put in the stock cams, cam gears, intercooler, turbo and intake, ect.
they said that my evo had a boost controller, he could tell my the aftermarket vaccum lines. even tho i took the b/c off. he said he went into my "block box" and saw how much boost i was running and the rpms i was shifting at. and he said warranty was voided.. pretty crappy day.

Warranty voided here too. Had transfer case failure and they said aftermarket down pipe was much larger in diameter than oem thus reducing clearance to right axle seal melting it and leaked oil out. They will find ant reason to deny your claim and thats B.S.

I have the same issue. I bought my Evo IX MR used with 25,000 miles. All gears are fine except for 6th gear. It's difficult to get in gear and get out of gear but other than that the trans shifts fine. At one time the car had a boost gauge, exhaust, intake as Mitsu determined after inspecting the car. It's all stock now but they won't warranty the issue. I'll probably get the trans fixed by Shep but I worry that I'll have the same issue and that it could happen anytime for no reason. I don't race my car either. I really like the 6 speed trans and would prefer not to have to get a 5 speed which should not be necessary as I don't race the car.

I am going to go get my transmission checked out for second gear failure on Tuesday. I have an intake, exhaust (no cat), boost controller (stock psi), front mount and a boost gauge. Should I take these items off before I go? I don't think any of these items has to do with my second gear and fifth gear lockout. Any help would be appreciated! Btw, I am going to Schaumburg Mitsubishi if that helps.

I wonder what mitsubishi would say if I pulled up with my EVO8 with my AMS 850r Turbo Kit, TurboXS FMIC, STRI Gauges, full 3" exhaust, Boosting 22 psi, Dual Fuel Pumps 880 injectors, and my HKS 272 cams, and tell them my Temprature knob for my HVAC is not working. I can see it now "Sorry sir but you have modified your car and you were doing AWD Dough-nuts in our parking lot and that caused the failure in your Temp Control Knob. Mitsubishi = FAIL! But my car is still fast as ****!

Or another excuse by Mitsub1tchy would be that because I live in Michigan and the climate changes to frequent, that you over used your Temprature Control Knob, causing it to fail. Sorry sir your warrenty is VOIDED!
