That does suck man..... I use vallet most of the time if there is no parking right up front, then I wait for the Vallet to park my car (extra tipping for upfront) and once he comes back, I head inside.

I feel better with vallet then leaving my car just out in the random parking lot......

Seriously though, if you haven't hired a lawyer to discuss your options in this case you really should. Its one thing to wreck your own car, entirely another to have something like this happen. Good luck and please post pics when you get a chance.

^^ seriously, eat sh*t. the adjuster said he would email me his pictures since my turned out crappy but he hasnt yet. dont believe me? thats cool i hope someone does this to you

well i should have seen this coming. the guy got the estimate faxed to his office and now hes hiring his own adjuster because i told him he had to buy all the parts from the dealership instead of going through his own parts guy. depending on what his adjuster does (aka disagree with the dealership's guy) it sounds like he will go through with his insurance. but his agent advised him to just pay for it.

i sense an lawyer in my future.

Were you going to let him just pay cash or is he now going through insurance?

i miss my evo so much. im in a dodge charger now, its embarrasing. some kid was trying to get me to spin the tires today, once he realized it was a rental car with the v6 he was almost as dissapointed as i was. plastic hubcaps ftl.

if they can agree on a price, i am still looking at 12 days worth of labor. i will be lucky to have her by new years

You have a case and the insurance should be filed under his coverage. Take your evo to another body shop, preferably the most expensive and one that will do the best work. Make sure the estimate is for evo parts as opposed to regular lancer parts. Finally, file a claim for diminished value. BTW- the 12 days could be dreaming b/c when my car was repaired I waited a long time for parts.
Otherwise, I would find a lawyer and sue the living hell out of the guy for violating your property. What was the cause of the accident? Speeding, wreckless driving?

Philly is famous for valet guys test driving your car, parking it on the street blocks away from where their garage is (if it's full) etc. etc. They even had shows about that on local TV news stations and were talking about it on the radio.
Dude, if you live there you should know better. Not saying that it's your fault because it's not but it's a known thing and you could have saved your car. There are a few garages in the city where you park yourself and take the key with ya.

another update-

my insurance company is sending their own apraiser out within the next day or two and then they are going to go ahead and pay for everything, then sue the guy so i dont even haveto worry about it. i guess this is why we pay insurance, to cover our asses in situations like this. so hopefully monday they will start the repairs. in the meantime me and the charger are looking for 22inch spinners
