im not really sure if the s2k outhandles the evo, my boy has an s2k and we were on an onramp that was like a loop, i just gave it gas and kept on pulling and pulling and pulling whereas he needed to let off to not let the tires break loose.

I wouldn't say its a downgrade. While it doesn't have as much horsepower as an Evo, the S2k is fun to drive in other ways.

If all you haters care about is horsepower then i suggest you "upgrade" to a mustang or a corvette.

I always hear of people just getting bored of them too quick. performance wise, i'm not impressed. I used to to walk them with my wrx. On the bright side, they do look really good. i like the front of the AP2 a little better along with the wheels.

Well,... this is a evo forum after all.
I wont mind owning a S2000 but I will never trade in my Evo for it.
The only Honda worthy of trading is the sexy NS..SEX.

But if you like getting attention the S2000 will be your calling, go for it.

I went from a 01 Prelude with all the major bolt ons, and a tune to an evo, and let me tell you, sometimes I do miss the instant torque on those bad boys, but I will never turn back from an Evo to any Honda, even though the S2K is nice, but it feels quite sluggish when I drive it... nothing compared to the Evo IMO, and I don't understand how handling can be better in an S2K if I read correctly, because Evo's were made to handle like a beast and is considered a rally car...

The S2K's are great cars, but for me it'd have to be something like a weekend car or just something to drive when the weather is good. My friend had a Mazdaspeed Miata and i drove it for a week or so and got annoyed with the lack of space (compared to my 240sx at the time) and the wind noise... Especially on the highway.

The carbon synchros make the car shift like butter and its a fairly reliable car, but about the rings... It happened to a sales man who worked at the Toyota dealership i was working at, so it seems to be a problem, but it was fixed under warranty no questions asked.

Also, from what ive seen, they dont do well in the rain and can have snap oversteer when stock. So be careful with that.

If its what you want than go for it and have no regrets man! Fun car for sure!

P.S. Screw the Fit! Get a Yaris!!!

my buddy owns an S2K right now, the only reason he hasnt come over to the darkside of the evo is cuz i have one, he doesnt want to copy me. He says though out of his many cars (01 Celica GTS, 01 SS, 94 built TSI, & 94 civic Hatch) he loves his S2K. He has had two of them now.

When he does get behind the wheel of my evo though he misses that pull, even vtech doesnt compare. The S2K is very nice, handles, looks clean, and is hella fun, but i would never personally buy one.

Plus, his S2K doesnt do as good of donuts or drift as good as my evo...

So what do most s2k prefer, the 2.0l or the 2.2l? I too am thinking of trading/selling my evo for another car. G35, E46 M3 or s2k is on my mind. Used S2K's are damn cheap.

So I have a question, for whoever here saying s2k<Evo , have you really drive the car? I am not talking about just a test drive, couple pulls. I mean really really drive it, like daily for a week or so, couple track events, group drive, touge??? I have both cars and I push both cars, if you ask me, evo is faster for sure, if you check NASA TT class, Evo is about 2 levels higher than s2k. But I still pick s2k for track, because beside fast, you could also have a lot fun with it, and in a FR car, you learn lots more on driving. Fast driver > Fast car, I run with NASA for 2 years, in same group I smoke Evos every day(s2k with bone stock engine), it's not about the car, it's about yourself.
Another thing, the S2k community is really more friendly than Evo's, you can see it here. I was a evo hater for years, even now still. Not about the car, it about the drivers, I see thousands kids or some adults in evo driving crazy on street, trying to race every other cars, because they thinking their cars are fast, honestly, it's really fast, but that doesn't means you have to do it, bring them to track, they probably can't do ****. I hate those kind people, because your stupid, maybe someone else gonna get hurt or die. If it's just yourself, i don't give a fxxk.

Sorry for talking too much shxt, I am new here and don't want to fight with anyone, just talk about my feel.

Seriously this comment may be off topic, but hey atleast it is on forum. Why would the OP post this thread here. What in the **** does this have to do with EVO general???? Another dumb thread in the wrong forum by a freakin' newbie , I don't care when your join date was or is, if you haven't posted at least a 100 times then your still a newb and shouldn't be allowed to start threads. Just my 2 cents.
