I did not read any of the predictable bickering in the thread beyond the first post.

But I've never heard of the tops being "squeaky." My S2000 is over 8 years old right now (original delivery in Sept 1999), and the top/top assembly has never once squeaked or rattled.

Of course, my 8 year old top has 2 small holes worn in it and a cracked plastic rear window, but that's a wear item.

My S2000 and my Evo IX are both stock, and they are both very fun to drive - in their own way.

I wouldn't mind owning both. The S2k is sick, no doubt. It may have alot of flash, but at the end of the day the Evo is capable of more.

BTW, with some more upgrades your Evo could have been redlining past 9k and handle better than the S2k.

the s2k is awesome!! i recently was considering getting one for a daily and leaving the evo alone. we have 2 s2k's on the lot right now and i drove the shhhht out of both just to see how it performed, wasnt too impressed. i thought about my pro's and con's between 2 cars, s2k and acura TL type s.. i needed the cargo room and reliability, the s2k was just way too small, and felt very noisy. so i made my decision and ended up getting a 350z... go figure

If you weren't impressed with the acceleration it's understandable, but if you weren't impressed with the handling chances are you did not know how to drive one fast around the corners. It takes a much more experienced driver to go fast in a s2000 vs an evo.

Of course it does. That's also why is easier to handle an AWD street legal monster than it is RWD. Street legal tires aren't capable of keeping an 800hp beast still unless its got all four tires assisting. AWD.

Thanks for proving my point.

So the verdict is if you are a bad driver, drive an awd car because it's easier to control.

In the hands of a GOOD driver however, the rwd car will handle better.

Sure, and since we're putting words in each other's mouths and making definitive statements without any type of sensible arguement I'd also like to point out that what you just said proves that black cars are faster than red ones. Unless you are a crappy driver, then you can kick azz in a green one.

Don't make stupid statements just because your only proof of a LESS capable vehicle being "better" is that the driver has to be better. Go back to your s2k forum moron.

First of all, I'd like to point out that you define the typical evo owner.

Second, the difference between our posts is that there is no false information in mine, and yours is pure bull**** made up to provoke me. You see the difference?

I may elaborate if you wish.

Edit: my bad, you don't even drive an evo, you drive an oz.

Still waiting for you to make an agruement that doesn't invole your mouth running faster than you can think. Your position is that if a vehicle is capable of handling better then it's only logical that only an adversly skilled driver would operate said vehicle. Not only do you keep dodging the ufckin point, but you run your mouth as if your nuts have even dropped. What do YOU drive? Where do YOU live? My personal info is out of date and I don't even drive a anymore, now what. Is there any more isht you'd like to talk while hiding who and where you are. Keep your opinions to yourself if you can't make them without getting emotional. If you got something to say to me about me, sticks and stone and all that. I'm @ 2243 W. Vinyard Plains Dr. Queen Creek, AZ 85242.

Grow up or show up.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one chuckling at you right now.
What are we in, 2fast2furious?

Listen, I agree with you that with a similarly skilled driver in the two cars, the evo will handle better. The reason for that is because awd takes less skill to drive than rwd. You can argue all you want but I will stand my ground on that one.

And if anybody is getting emotional, at least at this point I think it'd be you.

Our difference still stands, nothing I have posted so far is false information, and the only post I made off topic was the one defending myself against you. Now look at your posts. I think you're the one that needs to grow up.
