Quickest Evo was ~.6 seconds faster than the quickest S2000.
Same results.
Quickest Evo was ~.4 seconds faster than the quickest S2000.
Can I please get some of that crack you are on because it must be good!

Because you seem to be vision-impaired, I am going to break this down for you:
11/4/07 - Buttonwillow: quickest S2K - 2:05.047; quickest Evo - 2:06.930
10/28/07 - California Speedway: quickest Evo - 1:15.105; quickest S2K - 1:22.446
10/2/07 - Laguna Seca: quickest Evo - 1:44.963; quickest S2K - 1:46.348
9/30/07 - Buttonwillow: quickest S2K - 2:15.423; quickest Evo - 2:18.931
9/23/07 - Spring Mountain: quickest S2K - 3:21.019; quickest Evo - 3:26.199
9/14/07 - SOWS: quickest Evo - 1:33.657; quickest S2K - 1:35.228
Seems to me the results are about 50/50.
I haven't accepted your facts simply because I am looking for some validation of them. Can you at least post a link to the article(s)? I posted a link to a website called speedventures.com, and this organization organizes road racing events which drivers from all over the United States compete it. There are hundreds of REAL race results, and in some an Evo is beating an S2000 and visa versa.
Again, I am by no means hating on the Evo (remember I own one
) and simply trying to pimp the S2000. I am simply trying to rid the tunnel vision which most Evo owners seem to have.

Yes, the S2k does require more initial skill to drive fast. You have to know the basics so you don't kill yourself from the get go.
BUT! and this is a long buuuuuut!
A skilled driver that can pull the limits out of a car will be much faster in the Evo. The Evo with a skilled driver is frighteningly fast. (Not talking about drag racing here btw)
I don't think that you can compare an EVO with an S2000 anyway...so why bother right?! Both cars cannot be more different.
I came from an S2K to and EVO now, and I am happy with my decision. The EVO is def the cheaper of the 2 cars...and cheaper to make fast too. My lap time dropped 3 seconds instantly from the track I go to, and the EVO does not have coilovers like my S2000 did.
But the S2000 does have its advantages, and it is more of a driver's car because of the FR layout.
Glad you are happy with the S2000...I miss my S2000 somewhat, but it was bought by a friend so I can still see it if we go to the track together!
Good luck with the S2000...drive carefully, you will certainly have to be more focused...and shift gears...don't be lazy. if you are in the right gear, it is very hard to beat that car.

[QUOTE=sEvoIXnTurboS2k;4963753]Your post started off very well and I was about to give you props for being a sensible person.
You might have missed a couple of my posts where I said I CURRENTLY OWN both a turbo S2000 and an Evo. I am a fanboi of neither car, and have come in this thread giving both cars its due props. I also stated that, without a doubt, the Evo has much more potential than an S2000 in drag racing. No debate.
You asked for pics of my S2000, but since I am not biased I will post pics of both cars:
No, No. I got it all.
Like YOU, I refuse to acknowledge anything else than what I deem acceptable, now, isn't that what you're saying?
Now Im breaking your *****.
The simple fact is, if you want to win an argument over which is the better car, the S2K vs Evo, go to an S2K forum.
If you want to marvel in all the glory that is the S2K, go to an S2K forum, you'll hear all that is good related to an S2K.
Now, I am saying that I am reasonable....but, stock for stock, mod for mod, dollar for dollar, an Evo will take an S2K and run equally, stomp its *** OR be beaten. The variable are too great to argue on a thread, and as I stated before, you clearly don't want to be swayed, and neither do I. I have my ideas and so do you.
Being a free country, founded on the belief, you clearly have your flavors and I have mine.
HOWEVER! I can say, that after my initial post, talking with you has since been a pleasure without the insults, of course, and I can respect your affinity of the S2K, as long as you respect mine of the Evo's.
BTW, hell of a nice S2K.

Oh, and BTW, Im 6'7". I would have to shove my legs up my *** to fit in an S2K every day.
Im serious, that doesn't bias me as much as you may think......
But the everlasting quest to prove the Evo infallible isn't going to work in a crowd of Evo fans, and like I said before, talking to people like that didn't get you anywhere.
But Im cool dude...and if ever I get out to the So Cal area, may I have a ride?

Ok...so in this, after reading back even in my impaired state...I can see you're more reasonably opinionated than I had originally understood....
What threw me off was the whole "fu&k off" thing, and you clearly know how I stand on that...
No harm done...can i still have a ride?

you breaking too much and you lost couple of pieces...
refering the post 153..?????
even on the s2000 own website the full carbonfiber s2000 run slower then the Evo 8...

... unlimited TA cars are not a great place to look for quantitative results regarding these cars performance.
The whole anyone can drive an Evo fast is almost as stupid as the arguement that the S2000 is better because it's a "purpose built sports car" and the Evo is a just a "sup'd up lancer" common BS from S2K owners.
The Evo is pretty unforgiving when driven at the limits.
If the S2k makes dude happy, good for him.
