Another Evo to S2k thread.....
I know there is some people using them in drift comps. Isnt RSR using one too??
Well true then.
The S2k is not that great of a drift car for the following reasons..
- The LCD they use is a Torsen unit, which wont stand up to drifting
- It has a short wheelbase making it have crazy snap oversteer. The popular drifting cars i.e. rx-7, S13-15, etc. have a long/er wheelbase, which is more preferred for drifting.

Ive personally owned several honda's before the EVO.I was looking at the S2000 at first but decided to go with the EVO because I wanted a turbo car.Ive seen the S2000 is action and I must say it tears it up at the track!
Considering I've seen quite a few Evo's, be it high HP drag cars, Auto-X cars, Rally, Road Racers I don't think its merely based on opinion.
The S2K is a nice car....but on a performance basis, I just dont believe it has any advantages over the Evo.
Does it have overall advantages? Yeah, its RWD, a blast to drive, a drop top and a gorgeous car to boot that the chicks love.
However, in overall performance potential, its outclassed in every way I can think of.
Also, watch how you talk to people on here. You wouldn't say that to a person's face, in a nose to nose conversation. Im damn sure you wouldn't finish that sentence talking like that to my face.

Second of all, I don't need to watch how I talk to people on here. I am not one of those e-gangsters who hide behind their computer screen. Whatever I type on this forum is exactly how I would talk to somebody in person. I am not out looking to pick a fight with anybody, but I surely won't back down either.
Most of you guys are magazine racers. You think that just because a magazine like Turbo or Sports Compact car says one car is more dominant than another then it must be true. Truth be told most information in tuner's magazines is false and heavily biases.
Again, if you want the real deal Holyfield, look at something like SCCA National Standings for autocrossing and dragtimes.com for official drag racing timeslips. You are not only going to find competitive vehicles but COMPETENT drivers.

The Evo has versatility....havent seen many S2K drag cars, Rally Cars or the like....
Its a great car, but I prefer the Evo. Arguing which one is best is stupid, because you are NEVER going to convince me an S2K is a more competent car, just like I won't convince you an Evo is better than an S2K
But in all seriousness, I like your S2K...lets see some more pics of it.
Cars are cars man, and in truth, I'd own one of everything if I could afford to.
But overall, I believe wholeheartedly that the S2K has its place and the Evo has its place also, and the Evo belongs in my driveway, not an S2K.
Coming on here and bashing us "fanboys" doesn't make any sense, as you are an S2K fanboy who, regardless of what you think, seems to be looking for a fight.
You say you speak to everyone the same....and you want to be taken seriously, yet you tell someone to "shut the f*** up"...?
If you want me to listen, I sure as hell dont wanna be told "im right, you're wrong because I said so, so shut the f*** up"
SO how about this....post some pics of your car, and find me an 8 second S2K drag car (not a tube chassis pro stock car, but a full body drag car) and I'll agree that the S2K you love so much, isn't as single sided and one-purpose minded.

First of all, until you provide specific facts, like I have done, then you are stating your own personal opinion. You want to know which car is performing better? Take a look at national standings and you will get your answer.

So lets go over all the fields ..
AutoX - based on the facts you posted, S2K clearly wins
Road racing - Based on the facts I posted, the EVO clearly wins
Drifting - Has to go to the S2k, unless your EVO was in F&F 3.

Rally - Well, I dont think a S2k can rally, so this one goes to the EVO.
right now its EVO - 2 vs S2k - 2
And the tie breaker
Drag racing - Goes to the EVO. IIRC the fastest S2k is in the high 9s, low 10s. (There is a S2000 rear engine dragster that does 8s, but its not really a S2000 anymore.)
EVO-3
S2k-2
There you go. Its over. All done. The EVO win in terms of motor sports.
ps. and if you wanna dispute more, I know that the EVO hold the best time attack/super lap times at all the major race tracks.
That makes it
EVO-4
S2k-2

You might have missed a couple of my posts where I said I CURRENTLY OWN both a turbo S2000 and an Evo. I am a fanboi of neither car, and have come in this thread giving both cars its due props. I also stated that, without a doubt, the Evo has much more potential than an S2000 in drag racing. No debate.
You asked for pics of my S2000, but since I am not biased I will post pics of both cars:

Your post started off very well and I was about to give you props for being a sensible person.

Unless I am mistaken you posted some "facts" from a tuner magazine which, anybody in their right mind, knows has its own biases. Yes, according to that article an Evo ran quicker than an S2000 in a road racing event. Does that in and of itself make an Evo quicker than an S2000 in road racing? No. Find some sort of national standings for road racing which show that a competent Evo driver is out-performing a competent S2000 driver consistently in road racing and you will have yourself a factual winner.
