Another Evo to S2k thread.....
So I have a question, for whoever here saying s2k<Evo , have you really drive the car? I am not talking about just a test drive, couple pulls. I mean really really drive it, like daily for a week or so, couple track events, group drive, touge??? I have both cars and I push both cars, if you ask me, evo is faster for sure, if you check NASA TT class, Evo is about 2 levels higher than s2k. But I still pick s2k for track, because beside fast, you could also have a lot fun with it, and in a FR car, you learn lots more on driving. Fast driver > Fast car, I run with NASA for 2 years, in same group I smoke Evos every day(s2k with bone stock engine), it's not about the car, it's about yourself.
Another thing, the S2k community is really more friendly than Evo's, you can see it here. I was a evo hater for years, even now still. Not about the car, it about the drivers, I see thousands kids or some adults in evo driving crazy on street, trying to race every other cars, because they thinking their cars are fast, honestly, it's really fast, but that doesn't means you have to do it, bring them to track, they probably can't do ****. I hate those kind people, because your stupid, maybe someone else gonna get hurt or die. If it's just yourself, i don't give a fxxk.
Sorry for talking too much shxt, I am new here and don't want to fight with anyone, just talk about my feel.

but I would say a lot more s2k owners would be the same if their cars were actually fast.

Also, I totally agree with you. I hate people, who just because they have a fast car drive like an ***. I like when I'm driving down the highway and I see like a Porsche 911 just crusing in the right lane at the speed limit. It shows maturity. They know they have nothing to prove. But then again, it's also annoying when somebody buys a car like that and NEVER drives it, or never opens it up.

To whomever said I'd be freezing, you're wrong. The s2k is a much smaller car and warms up about 3 times faster than the Evo does. I feel all cozy and warm in it as soon as i get in it.
To those who posted opinions without being jackasses, thanks a lot and your opinions are much appreciated. To those who didn't, your posts were pretty much ignored.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with my decision and I haven't looked back since.
I think both cars are great in their own respect.
An Evo of course has the AWD and the Boost which are always a plus. I think that the Evo is an easier car to drive which is why we feel like we can handle turns so much better than other cars.
For an s2k i think that it can handle equally as well as an Evo but requires more skill to reach that point which some every day drivers may not have (such as myself). If you are a nub at driving, I would say that you probably wouldn't be able to match up with an Evo, but if you can drive I don't see the 2 cars having much of a difference ( at least in dry roads).
The S2k is a great car handling i've heard is comparable to a rx7... I've always wanted one but decided to go to the Evo. Maybe I'll pick one up as a weekend car
Hope you enjoy the car man

NOBODY should bash on Mr. OP. The S2K was a close second for me, I'm really glad I have my IX MR and would be less happy overall if I had an S2K, but it's SUCH a great car.
For one thing, I had money for a brand new car: IX is better than VIII almost objectively, but I prefer AP1 over AP2 (especially for the money).
Overall S2K's are more reliable than Evos, so basically this is how it works for me
Used S2K > Used Evo (even here we tell people to avoid used evos)
New Evo > New S2K (for me at least, because I'm an 18 year old power freak - of course Evo mods better)

Hey can we start up a thread on how a hummer's are better then an evo even tho its not even in the same class??
I will start the pro/con 1st:
Hummer Pro
1) More room
2) Bigger tires
3) You can go off road
4) Looks cool
5) Turn a few heads
6) Can run over a park Evo
Hummer Con
1) I cant think of any
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who the f*ck cares if you think an SK2 is better then an Evo (They arent even in the same class)
I can give you a list on why my Evo is better then my Benz....or even why my Benz's better then my Evo. "to make myself feel better on both cars"

Can't understand why people keep trying to compare the cars that fall in 2 different classes.
wow...do i have to have a bachelor's degree in mitsu evoology to post something and not get bashed...man, you guys are like a bunch of old disgruntled peeps. just reading some of the posts here make it look like we think the evo is the "god" of cars. no wonder evom's got a bad rep...no offense to the mods.

This thread is making me sick. The s2k is an amazing car.. No if and or but's about it. It makes me sick when people are so brand loyal and hate on every car that isnt the one they own. Nothing beats cruising around in the summer with the top down in the s2k.. I miss that car very much.
PS: save the V-tec comments.. Honda has two F1 teams.. I'm sure they know what they are doing...

Prior to owning my EVO I had a 04 Mazdaspeed MX-5 .. Roadsters are in a field of their own.. I enjoyed the superb handling of the car but did not like my constant craving for more power.. Hopefully you can be content with the power of a S2K, and not find yourself craving more space.
Always wanted a white on black Ap1. Only thing that detracted me from it was their weakish rear ends. Fine on N/A or supercharge power. But on turbo power (which is what I would want to do), the rear end cant hold up, its not made to handle the torque the turbo could add. But then again theres always the 3.5k skyline rear end kit from inline pro
No, hating here, with two good friends of mine having s2ks (one of them boosted), I definately have a soft spot for one. And at the price Ap1's are going for I would be a tough choice btw it and a WRX or 03 Evo.
I think if I lived in a warmer climate year round, an S2k would be first on my list.
Good luck with your new ride, and damn it post some pics up!
