need help on fluid changes

So i'm getting my oil changed tomorrow and i need my trans and tranfer cs oil changed too. problem is dealer charges an arm and a leg. My cousin works in a garage so he said he would let me use it and have the owner help me out to do the changes. I need to know what fluids to purchase from the dealer to do the change. i know diaqueen for the transmission but for the rest??? Also i read some of the post on how to do them but where can i get a copy of the service manual or does anyone have one. Thanks guys.

oh i would search a bit more but I'm at work right now and really can't.

Dude, please read your manual before you make a thread. The manual states which fluids to use (or its equivalent) and how much of each you need. Service manuals are avaiable in book form or on cds. Both are readily available on ebay or amazon.com

umm... Diaqueen for rear and T/C

MT-90 for tranny...

I did my homework in .3 seconds the other night... It took you longer to make this thread than it would have to searched as evidence by the time stated above...

the only problem you can posibly run into is that the oils are a little too viscous and its hard to get them to go into the fill plug holes without spilling out everywhre because of the air inside after you drained it. But otherthan that, do it yourslef and save $500, and some peace of mind too

Not too hard to change the transmission and transfer case fluid.

Here's the famous evomoto link on how to do it:

http://evomoto.com/index_tech.php?tP...a2d72b547c965e

Here are some tips:

1. Get a plastic bottle that holds more than the required quantity of fluid and mark it at the max fill quantity.

2. Pour the transfer case or trans. fluid into this container up to the max fill amount stated above so you don't overfill.

3. Use a vinyl hose to fill; this makes the job sooooooo much easier.

4. Always invest in a good set of funnels

5. Do not fill too fast; the liquid is thick and takes time to flow

BTW, the job is much easier without the stock airbox and undertray.

The rear diff is a bit harder since you cannot use gravity to full the rear diff.

You can get a transfer pump or a nice turkey baster Serious.

all you would need to do is go to the dealer and ask them for the fluids...
