2. Buying Greddy E-manage - from shop in number 1.... just popped a coil because of it....(removed it yesterday)
3. Buying some cheapo downpipe wich rubs on everything under the car.....

I regret my stupid triple gauge pod on the A-pillar. It's tacky, obstructive, and they're a little too 2 Fast 2 Furious for me. Most importantly, I regret trying to use the Exedy Triple disk with the OEM TOB and not the hydraulic TOB setup. That clutch lasted a whopping ~2,000 miles before I got totally locked out of first gear. When I pulled it out and inspected it the spline had gouges in it where the plates sat and the first plate spline teeth were completely worn down. So I went back to the Exedy Twin and no issues yet.
Very possible, I'm looking into the Quarter Master 8 Leg right now though. I've had my fair share of Exedy clutches. Great clutch IMO but I'd like to try something I haven't tried before.
Definitely a very helpful and interesting thread. A lot of bickering at points, but I guess that usually leads to a more solidified answer on the part in question. I just wish people would give explanations rather than "I don't like ____ and _____." For a guy like me with few mods on my car, and a want to add more, these statements are not helpful.
My main regret is a repeat of what others have said, not having a good enough knowledge of the car and it's mods before buying it. I had basic knowledge of DSMs and that is it. I can't emphasize enough doing plenty of research before making the decision to buy the car and then what mods to buy.
All in all, great thread

I'm glad I took my car this far. I just wish I had another Evo to Daily since I don't want to risk blowing my car up randomly.
It will be a daily driver for a year so we'll see how long it lasts.
If I had to do it all over again I would buy a second Evo before I went "all the way".

And to be fair I've had some nagging drivetrain issues since the car was put together. I'm looking into correcting that VERY soon so I'll hopefully feel differently when I get the car back and running properly. No xfercase deathwhine or clutch/transmission issues.
It's too bad about the noise, they firm up the rear pretty well. FYI the mustache bar swap is strictly for weight reduction.
Probably the biggest "regret" I have, is my turbo setup. A couple years ago I decided it would be fun to be a "sleeper" Evo, so I bought a heavily ported "FP Red" instead of just spending a little bit more money and getting a big turbo setup. The FP Red is a great turbo and it makes serious power! So in NO way am I saying that its not a great buy, but I maxed it out right away. Shortly after I bought the turbo I built my motor, so the turbo is my choke point...and the sleeper thing was kinda dumb cause I have huge cams...I just told ppl that I had a vacuum leak and my car has a hard time idling
..you'd be surprised how many ppl believed that. So now I'm driving around a car that has a motor built for 1000hp and can only run half that, it sucks.
PS: Most ppl would be happy with the power that an FP Red would give them, especially for a daily driver...but I'm not most ppl

I believe I have some sense of what you expect from your car. Diff bushings of any kind other than OEM are definitely not for you.
They're good for people that don't mind the noise. Its currently the most annoying part of my car but I can easily "tune it out" of my head. But passengers always think my car is broken. Still after some miles on them you won't hear them unless you're cruising steady state at the wrong throttle position and speed on the highway.
