You can simply read about what TRE does with their transmissions and that should be enough to make anybody regret going with Busher or Shep.

TRE simply does more work, more customization, more treatments and costs almost exactly the same.

Thats what swayed me to go with shep. I like that no matter when i called shep, i always was able to talk to someone and they always called me back when they said they would. Nothing more then i hate then being left in the dark about money thats coming out of my pocket

I have read your comment about 15 times and can't figure out if this is directed towards me or you actually believe that an UICP serves no purpose but for looks...

OK, what is the benefit of an aftermarket UICP over stock?

Sheptrans will always keep you up to date as to wth is going on. I called them nearly every business day when they had my stuff. And didn't charge me a dime until it came time to ship everything out. I hate it when people ask for money before the service is rendered / product is shipped. If they want to hold my money before I get the goods then I want to charge interest.

But in the end you really won't notice the difference between driving a shep trans and a TRE trans. The things TRE does is more to satisfy the inner car nut in you. Shep only does what actually makes a meaningful difference. He even recommends against the REM finish for most people.

Things I regret:

-ACT clutch (although it took a lot of abuse before locking out)
-using motul drivetrain fluids (always redline/diaqueen from now on)
-blowing up trans and tcase with one ill-fated shift
-blox front mount (replacing with 75A mounts soon)
-dealing with some of the vendors on this board
-buying a lot of crap on the used classified...deciding I don't want them....not having time to sell them....and running out of room to store them
-any and every harm to it caused by me driving it, working on it, or worse yet having a shop work on it

Most of all I financially regret buying it. At least I drive it and track it to my heart's content. Although I love the thing and its taught me a lot, if given the chance I wouldn't have bought it again. It was even more of a money pit than I was expecting. But now that I have it I will never sell it....too attached. And when I feel really bad about how much I spent on it I go talk to my buddy about his nsx.

No regrets from mods I've done, but I'm not to happy about some of the mods the PO did, hopefully gonna have all those changed and re-tuned by next year.

Other than cosmetic benefits on the evo I don't believe there is one unless it's a welded on BOV flange for a specialized setup. when I used to run my GS-T i had an UICP with the HKS flange prewelded for easier fitment..and before anyone says anything the HKS SSQV was a damned good BOV for the DSMs.

Honestly, I don't know if there are any. However, I did see a video of the stock hose expanding/ballooning quite a bit at boost. Is there any ill effect to ballooning, besides bursting (which I've never heard of)?
