I won't lie, there were a few informative posts that I did like. But the clutch topic was for a whole different thread and people just wouldn't let it die.

Yes. Clutches are a hot point of contention on this forum. Sadly, for many of the wrong reasons. Lets let it die, and try to move on.

There are tons of juicy bits in the first 15 pages alone!

Yes but how many clutch threads are already out there? I saw that you didn't wanna turn this into another one and keep it on track, which I agree with.

To stay on topic I'll play... I just bought my Evo 4k ago, I don't regret anything yet. I've owned quite a few cars in the past. I try to learn from mistakes I've done in the past on other cars. I personally like OEM parts alot cause you know they are the most compatible for the car, and you can't really go wrong.

I was changing the accessory belt and the timing belt while the head was off... timing belt went fine but while changing the accessory belt had to turn the crank to get it to slip on to the a/c compressor and in the process skipped a couple teeth on the timing belt because my timing belt and cam gears were zip-tied to som a/c hoses to keep them from moving out of time oh no...

Not doing any research before actually even getting my evo. Followed by not doing any research before getting mods.
I'm kinda regretting going for some looks (stupid ones too) instead of focusing on performance. But again, the thing I regret the most, is not educating myself before jumping on the first mods I saw.

Also new here.My car has a few nice mods on and i don't regret any of them, except the Aquamist water/meth pump. When i got the car the pump was shot so i bought a whole Coolingmist kit and just had the pumps switched over.Working fine now.
I don't mind buying a modded car, especially an evo because you're not going to keep it stock anyways...

Hmmmm,
I think the Magnus Sheet Metal Intake that I got shortly after I purchased the car back in 2003 was a BIG mistake of course back then there EVO was still pretty new in the US and we(EVO Owners) were no where near as educated on ecu patches and circumventing sensors back then as we are today. Also Tilton Clutches for a DD Evo, was another EPIC FAIL but that was when evostore still had a webpage so we'll chalk that one up to Karma... I went with the Exedy Twin right after that and I have been happy happy ever since. What else... oh magnecor plug wires (Booooooooo)

I regret not buying the JDM rear sooner... Ive been waiting for a bit already and there is no ETA yet. Other than that, this community and locals have supplied me with some knowledge, advice and some great used parts to put my car together. Much appreciated everyone.

I regret purchasing Tein lowering springs rather then spending the extra money on coilovers..but my biggest regret is not buying my Evo 9 brand new..oh well, I have her now!
