Modification Regrets?
kali in general sucks *** regarding the **** *** vehicle laws but play it right and youll be ok. I have tinted fronts, no cat and loud exhaust yet the bacon can't mess with me cus I am always aware of whos around me.
i regret my act 6 puck and my fidanza flywheel. i wouldve gone with stock flywheel and probly a twin or other than my act. the combo worked awesome in my 1g talon. but not so good in the evo. its not bad to drive just not as fun and smooth as what it was. clamps hard as hell though ill give it that
regret Exedy 4 puck and fidanza 3.2, regret going nuts with HTA green and E85 before getting a built motor, and for not buying ethanol content gauge too... got all that covered now though but I'm broke.
I bought my car with a ton of mods on it (don't recommend it, but I got a super deal), and I have spent most of the time de-modding it. I have ripped out an electronic boost controller, re patched all the wires from the alarm that was put in, replaced the generic large FMIC with a stealth Perrin FMIC, got rid of the TurboXS exhaust.
I definitely do not recommend the turboXS exhaust to ANYONE. It is way too loud.

i regret my hks evc 6, expensive, cant get it to hold boost right, constantly spiking to 23 24 25 psi, and cant find any good mounting solutions, or a good place to mount it. should have went with a MBC and boost gauge
My only regret is not buying a IX. I ended up spending $$ converting the VIII into a IX, but the final result came out great
Here are my thoughts around some of my mods:
-I have an ACT HD which engages / disengages perfectly, no complaints there...
-The JunB.L has the best exhaust note overall (in my opinion) and looks great. Alot of people ask me about it.
-The Forge RS bov is holding 28psi just fine, and can be adjusted easily if necessary. Its not too loud, but not too quiet.
-Beatrush's undertray helps keep the nose down in corners and looks awesome. It's a mod that is often overlooked (or people dont want to install one so they can work on their car easier), but everyone that has bought one has given it great reviews.
-The Hallman boost controller is simple yet effective. Just keep in mind not to boost before your engine warms up completely!!
-The Leather seats really complete the look. It set me back some $$, but definitely was worth it.
Overall, I am very happy with my mods. I waited to pay the car off and browsed through these forums before adding parts. Do your homework, and you will be happy with the results. Be sure to stop modding once you have hit your power / aesthetic goals.
