Modification Regrets?
^^^Dude i have the exedy 2 stage and i know how you feel. I live in LA and traffic is horrible and my evo is my DD. I also should have waited and gotten some coil overs and not my RSR springs.
regret getting my clutch/flywheel combo.. everyone already knows the company!!! Also, I have a short-thow shifter that came with this iron ball pos that burns the crap out of my hand every single time touched.
Great informative post and way to weed out all the problem companies

Well my only regret is to have not wasted soo much money buying and selling exhausts. I kept trusting people on what they think is quiet and found out the hard way that video clips don't really show an accurate sound loudness and people are attention ****** that want loud exhausts. I could have done then what I ended up doing now, is buy Buschur magnaflow exhaust and custom fit another magnaflow muffler.
But if I knew then what I know now and the BBK turbo was available at the time. I would have just bought a o2 housing downpipe and testpipe to rung with stock catback and bbk turbo. Off course with all supporting fuel mods.
Then I would tune it to see what it would run with that setup and then maybe make my exhaust that I have now to see what power difference there would be between stock catback and full 3" trubo back.
But now I'm paying off 2000 dollars of buying and selling in loss and making my current exhaust also added in there. Just to give you an idea my previous V-band exhaust I spent 1250+ and sold it for 725 shipped. And shipping cost me near 80 dollars. And before that one I had 4 more exhausts on the car. RRE stealth, Jun BL , Cobb, Tanabe losing money on each sale.

I'm surprised the Tanabe was too loud for you. I ended up getting an HKS Carbon-ti, and a lot of people said it was too quiet. I loved that exhaust.
Glad you finally figured out how to make it quiet.

The Tanabe as a catback was very quiet, even quieter than my current setup. BUT! That only lasted until I put a 3" downpipe with a 3" testpipe. After that it was loud but not like the Junb or most other exhausts. Also the Tanabe has a neck down inside the muffler, and I want a full 3" straight flow through system.
i have the buscher tbe on mine, and i hate it. it sounds great, other then the loud *** annoying embarassing rattle from somewhere on the exhaust. it sticks way to far out in the rear, and my downpipe is touching other metal under the car. im switching to the greddy tic tbe.
mod regrets: spraypainting the wiper arm. i overdone it so paint came running along the thing. so i bought spraypaint remover to take the paint out. they came out really nice and clean though. i just wasted my time doing it.
ummm i think the only thing was i was short on time and had to get my car moving and hks 272 cams were in stock but the cossie's werent.. i wish i could have gotten cossie's but the hks are good too
