New Hoosiers are once again proving consistent. The MPH's are the highest we've seen on this track (ORP) and the 60's were 1.71, 1.72 and 1.71. We never got the tires to spin due to a well prepped track for the Alcohol dragsters. I think if we had been able to play with the tires a little more, we would have dropped the 60's by getting some tire spin. Too much bite! who would have thunk. Jim only had a small air tank with him, so we couldn't air the tires to 30 like we would have liked. Now, at least we're off to a new mod or two.

Indy's at 93% duty cycle on his stock injectors, so we know that adding more power will probably necessitate changing them out. A simple turbo change to one of the new FP-Green's would put the car at the goal of 11.50, total added expense for that would be about $2000. Adding a full exhaust, injectors, O2 housing would probably only get us to the 11.60-11.7 range, realistically and would cost around 1500. A mix/match of maximizing the stock exhaust with various modifications (100 cell cat, O2 housing, improve other restrictions in the exhaust) would probably net a high 11.7 and cost maybe 400-500 (guessing here). Add an ignition system. A Nitrous Pro-Flo System would allow variable power levels and maybe not necessitate changing the exhaust. We're considering that as an option with less expense per horsepower. We only need 50-75 horsepower to get to our goal. Now that we've proven that 11's are possible with the current setup, Jim will have to make the decision as to which way to get to the next level. Incrementally again, or the single jump.

Added: By the way, the nitrous method would not need the added expense of injectors, so that would be a savings over any other method.

Nice Job guys....I always liked the Methodical way you approached this goal. Patience and Perceverance paid off in the long run. I know it was tempting at times to throw more mods at it, but that's been done before.

Kudos to thinking outside the box
