Spray tinting question

ok so i plan on getting my windows tinted by my local shop soon, i was asking them about getting my head and tail lights done and they said its an additional 125 for just the tail lights, and on top of that they wont do the headlight, so i was wondering how good the VHT niteshade spray tint works http://www.trucknvans.com/VHT-Nite-Shades-p/sp999.htm has anyone ever used it on there headlight? Also, if i dont like it how hard is it to remove? any input it greatly appreciated.

PS i dont want to take my head lights apart and spray in the inside and bake them, my freind did this and royally screwed up his headlights so im not trying to do that.

Thanks ricky

tinting the headlights/tail lights will decrease the light output to some extent...it will work...removing it would require goo gone a heat source and patience

These will probably help

Apparently this is the stuff to use instead of Nite Shade according to a few threads: http://www.ehobbies.com/pac294.html

I used the niteshades on my rear side markers, worked awesome, don't know if I'd do the headlights though. You can kinda see in the pic.

Honestly I don't like how any of them look. Those lights are kind of hazy/dull. I have done them on my evo twice and it came out the same. The third time I did it they are nice and transparent, they are not as dark as on those pictures, they look just right. I would upload my pictures but have some problems uploading them. Anyway I could do them for you for a small nominal fee when I come back from my business trip in September. I can see you live near me, I'm in Monroe, NJ you could even come and take a look at them in person.

You don't want to tint your headlights.

1) You'll get pulled over real fast.

2) Headlights project light, they are supposed to, for safety reasons.

I sprayed my headlight & taillights over a year ago, and cleared over them. Product works great. I don't necessarily agree with not spraying your headlights, but what I would suggest is not going so dark if you are determined to do it. Maybe one or two coats. I would assume some mineral spirits & a rag + some time would do the trick if you don't like them.
