Glad to know iam not the onli one with this problem. My drivers side door squeeks and rattles on any uneven road or bump. With my hard coilovers, its almost unbearable. but i found that when i leave my door ajar when driving, u know when you like dont close your door properly and the warning light comes on, THERE IS NO Rattle whatsoever!!! I dont know what to do.. maybe its the catch on the door and the body. Any ideas guys?
B pillar Passenger door rattle

I have had that B Pillar rattle for several weeks now and I have hit my limit with it. I'm looking to fix it. It sounded like the window was creaking against the rubber seals. So I sprayed down the rubber with some 303 UV Surface Protectant but it didn't help. Now I'm convinced its coming from inside the B pillar cover. I haven't pop'ed it off yet, but I was checking the forums first. It seems to only go away when I put pressure on the glass. If I press on the B Pillar cover or the door, it does not stop. However, if I push hard enough on the door which of course puts pressure on the window it also stops, but it takes more force than just the window.
Were you able to fix the B Pillar rattle?
Thanks for any help,
smanders

Almost immediately I hear this rattle that is coming from behind the glove compartment, or somewhere inside the dashboard behind the glovebox, and I do not have anything yet inside the blove compartment.
It sounds like a loose wiring harness dangling against a plastic surface, enough to make a constant but faint rattling noise.

OK.. this is odd. The rattle is GONE. I have only had the car two days.
Day 1. Intense Rattle.
Day 2. ZERO Rattle.
The only difference is Day 1.. the car was driven at night and it was mildly cold. Day 2.. it it blazing hot... so it must be something that when cold... it gets hard and doesn't make good contact... hmmm.

After 2 weeks of listening to a squeak/creak coming from the rear windshield, I took my car to the dealership. They entirely removed the glass and reinstalled it, cleaning everywhere they could get to around the rear window. The dealer said that something was etching the glass, maybe one of the plastic clips or something. All work was done under warranty, (I was just without my car for 3 days and I only got a rental for 1 day.) I have 24k miles on my EVO.
I also mentioned some door squeaking to the dealership. I thought it might be the B pillar, but they were not able to fix that. When I listened more carefully I thought it sounded like it was coming from the door. When I press on the top portion of the door panel where the leather part is, the squeaking stops.
Yesterday I entirely removed the passenger side door panel and tried to locate the squeak. There are a few pieces of styrofoam in the door panel that I believe are the cause of the squeaking. I had an old pillow laying around that I took the stuffing out of and I stuffed some stuffing in the door and secured it somewhat with some electrical tape, but the damn thing still squeaks.

Funny how this thread got so big.. All gay noises are normal. Mitsu even posted a flyer saying its normal. (On mitsu's website) If you wanted to see, I have to dig through socalevo later. Someone posted that a couple months ago.
