Talking just got an Evo !!!

I had a 2000 Porsche Boxster S, sweet car weighing 2800 lbs. with 250hp, RWD with mid engine design.. but winter season, lack of good cheap mods and the appeal of the AWD 4 door sweetness that is the Evo was just too much to resist.

So I got myself one to complement the M3.

I love it! This is my first turbo car and that turbo lag then boom is something still catches me off guard, hehe.

I will have to meet up with you guys sometime...

Here's more pics of my Evo: www.karljay.com/evo

Been meaning to post but my account took forever to get access to post.. so I check now and it's cool !

I've had the car about a week and it's been a lot of fun... still not used to the wing coz when I look back sometimes it catches me offguard too.. I thought it was part of another car and someone was tailgating me.

Got pulled over but I'll post about that in another thread.

:P

welcome!!

How does the M3 compare to the Evo. The M3 is the car I would get If I could afford it.

Thanks,

Such a cool car bro, and the great thing about this car is that you don't have to worry about blowing a set of turbos and spending 10k for the repair..

As for the wing..Maybe its the ricer in me, but I love it.. First time I rode in an Sti I kept thinking the wing was a car..

Break her in easy. She'll treat you good with a nice easy break-in. I think the owners manual states 1500 miles for a proper engine break-in. I did 3000 easy miles just in case . Brakes and tranny need break-in too. After that....go kick some ***. Have fun!

thanks guys.. yes the garage needs repainting but who cares.. I will sell the house next year.

Indeed right about the price of repairs or whatever.. that's what I love, fun without killing your wallet.

I like the Evo a lot so far.. but I don't like the long drives on the it.. it's too loud (wind, etc), uncomfortable, lack of 6 speed, no cruise control, radio sucks, bumpy.. but it sure is fun for other driving. Take this with a grain of salt.. I am comparing the ride to my BMW M3 and other GT cars I've had that are highway cruisers.

But I am very happy with the Evo and only thing I could've done differently is find a low mileage used one for a few thousands cheaper.. other than that.. I'm psyched !
