maybe your asking just a little too much for that car, the evo has better re sell value, much more rare as well and you couldnt get 26 for an 2003. 22 maybe.

24-25k would be a better asking price

No question your price is too high. You have to make the distinction between what people ask for their car and what they actually get.

I live in Utah but I went all the way to Plano, TX to buy a brand new 2003 WW Evo 8 (never titled) demo with 600 miles on it for $26,500 from a Mitsu dealer. They were asking $26,995. I also found a BBY one as a back up in Flagstaff, AZ at another Mitsu dealer for $26,900 that only had 20 miles. About 4 months ago when I bought mine there were still a handful of dealers around the country with 2003 or 2004 inventory. There was a brand new 2004 in Kentucky for $27,900.

I also found a couple of low mileage used ones that were advertised at $24-25, but when I called and pushed on the price, several guys came down to $22 pretty quickly. And this was 4 months ago and the prices aren't getting any higher.

The only way you'll get $26 is from someone who isn't price sensitive or someone who isn't willing to shop around. The money I saved made the 4 hours I spent calling different dealers around the country worth it.

location is a big factor, I would think, when it comes to selling your evo. Im in socal and alot of evos around 15-20k are going for 26,000. However if your in the middle of the US somewhere and the demand isnt that high people are going to be like, 26k for a 3yr old import?!

Exaclty the evo is just like any other car they lose value........some cars though liek supras eclipse gsx keep there value because there rare.evos are everywhere now........id say take it to a city where they are hardly any and try to sell it or keep it.....i sold mine for under what i thought but thats because theres a ton of evos around here.....a evo is nothing special in Eastern PA anymore.........

also curious why u guys wanna sell your evos? I heard one post, "what is my biggest problem with my evo" and got no real issues minus normal clutch complaints. Why does everyone normally sell the evo, I ask cuz I wanted to buy one, or maybe not

BTW I think the yellow is the reason your having trouble selling...it's not for everyone unfortunately.

Resale value

what do you guys think is a good asking price for the greddy titanium catback exhaust with about 2500 miles on it and i was also wondering about bridgestone blizzaks with know more then 1500 miles on it pretty much brand new! and finally my car its a 04 with 9500 good condition a little paint scuff on the rear bumper other then that the paint is in good condition i take the car in every 2500 miles for oil change that should mean something right? at least for a private buyer obviously not the stealer/dealer and do you think the color "blue by you" should be hard to sell? they stoped making this color for the 05's

i paid

evo=$30,000 not OTD brand new

greddy=$870 brand new

blizzaks=$700 brand new

shouldn't be too hard to sell, just name a price and put or best offer and see what happens.

For the exhaust and tires, check the "for sale" section and see what similar parts are going for. I always thought somewhere in the neighborhood of 50%-70% of origional value was a good price for used stuff in good condition.

As for the car, check KBB and NADA books. Id venture to guess somewhere in the area of 25k.
