Just did it to my car. First time, with 137k on the odo. Didn't getting near the amount of smoke any of you guys are getting. Got a few puffs when I poured some into the vacuum line, but that was it. Guess its mad clean in there!

yea i cleaned my MAF also and noticed a difference, going to clean my throttle also tomorrow. For people with high milage i suggest getting a friend and letting him/her push the throttle all the way and see if the throttle opens all the way since over time the wire can stretch. The worse iv seen is the throttle only open 25%.

Ok Soooooo after this I think once I pour the foam down the vac line I will let all the smoke clear before I pull off onto the street this time vs. shuting the car off for 5 minutes then going out and jumping on it. We shall see how it goes.

330 whp @24psi, my car only gets 220 miles per tank of gas on daily drive. I'm going to try this tomorrow morning. I hope it's a win win outcome like everyone else.

Why woudl you change the fluids in your tranny? I got 108K on my VIII, changed the fluids at 60K along with the timing belt.

My IX MR had the fluids changed a month ago at 90K and it was still clean.

I would immagine that if you track your car ALOT and bang your gears to get some trash in there then yes change your fluid a lot.

Oil changes too, 5000 MIN you dummies.

Used this on all of my cars with wonderful results. Better throttle response, mileage, and power. My neighbour wasn't really happy about the smokeshow though.

after reading this thread I tried this on my daily driver, a 99 mercedes c230 kompressor.
This car has 168k miles on it, and the previous owners didn't even try to take care of it. I figured that a sea foam treatment would really help clean the intake and combustion chambers.

After the sea foam treatment, the engine appears smoother, revs a little better, but my millage has dropped by more than 1mpg

I may have contaminated the MAF sensor with the sea foam, I hope that's it. I might try more in the gas tank to clean the injectors, and I might try treating the intake again for schist and giggles.

Do it! I have treated my intake and gas tank the last 2 fill ups and I am prolly gonna do it one more time. The smoke after dumping the foam down the vac line this time seemed to be a lot less on this second treatment so on the next one it should be next to none I think... but we shall see. I also put about half a can in the engine last night and I plan on changing it today or tomorrow. It's crazy but the oil actually looks a little cleaner after I put the foam in the motor... anyone else noticed this?

If you dumped the seafoam down the intake "same pipe that goes to air filter " you did it wrong. It goes directly into intake manifold via vacuum line. You might have toasted your maf.
