Mine used to crank aswell until it got worse and worse and eventually ended up not starting more than it started. At the early stages it cranked but would not turn over.

Im telling you this is your problem. Worse case scenario you buy a switch a new switch from Mitsubishi or Ebay for $60 and if it doesn't work return it. (Only if new and they allow.) You can find them used in part outs pretty cheap, im 99.99% sure THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM.

You got me thinking...it maybe related to the ignition. I have a turbo timer and an aftermarket alarm. To get them to work together, my ignition wire now runs through a relay. I will check that now!

Thanks

OP, check out the thread i made on a similar problem i had a while back

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-no-start.html

my issue was my sparks were not firing because the carbon build up was so built over time from cranking too much, the injectors sprayed too much fuel into the combustion chamber...the issue was my injectors were stuck open, i just cleaned my spark plugs and bought new injectors from a fellow evom member and it cost me 85 bucks total lol toyest just take your coil plugs out, remove spark plugs, get a BBQ lighter and try igniting the combustion chamber, if a huge blow torch like flame shoots up. there is your problem...injectors...just because the sparks dont fire it doesnt necessarily mean its them. Let us know hoe everything turns out op hope this helps...

The GOOD news is though, an ignition switch is cheap (can find one on here for $50), very easy to change, and you DON'T need to get a new key cut.

Edit: Here is my thread I originally posted last year.

Bringing back my old thread....

So my issue is getting worst and worst I think i have finally narrowed it down to injectors. When it doesnt start now i do a "flood clear" (push pedal to the floor before cranking) for a few seconds and usually it will start during this process or the second or third time trying to start it normally. It works everytime. So i think i have leaky injector(s) that will intermittently leak.

Sounds like this happened to at least one other member. Has this happened to anyone else?

Anyone have a spare stock set of injectors for sale?

I had my ignition fuse go out on my car randomly. The car would just turn and turn but never start. Assumed the absolute worse. Once I found the fuse I was relived. Its in the fuse box bottom left of the steering wheel
