I think the evo in general demands more respect than your avg rice car no matter what car the other guys got. If that guy ever pick up a magazine and read something on the evo or the M.R. edition=Mitsubishi Racing edition, he knows its function: PERFOMANCE, not leather, navi, heated seats, and an overpriced manufacturer..............................2cents
Regarding the M3 comment, I think if I was the M3 owner, I will still think...."what a ricer"..and even if he/she beats me, it is still a piece of
trash. Don't get me wrong, I have an EVO and I love my EVO.

I could of bought it, but it'd be a waste of money.' Most of those guys probably grew out of the stripped out hondas running 12 sec 1/4's that's loud and give headaches. Rather they'd buy a 13 sec luxury car out of the box.
Think about it, a E55amg automatic next to a evo. Sorry man, E55 amg wins hands down in pimp factor, and overall class.

Agree. I too think most BMW and Mercedes owners have an way different view on EVO owners do. For some reason I almost feel the same way now.
I must be getting old.
buying a 30k car and still being called a ricer, that sucks.....i always thought ricers were neons and civics with altezza's, body kits, pep boys exhaust, hood lights and stickers all over it.
man i guess 30k is not what it used to be........

You spend 50g's on an M3 and it will lose to a 35k mitsubishi, and the M-series is bmw's racing edition, which is weak on the track. E55amg automatic is a nice car,not my style, but its automatic and has no performance upgrades, you buy an evo and thats just the platform, so much potential to make it fast, just a few bolt ons and tuning and its going to be fast. Im young and going to enjoy my youth, if i had a lot of money the e55 amg grandfathermatic would not even be on my list of cars to have.
most would say no, because it has tons of potential for going fast in the straights, but it has no handles and the all around car isn't good. Same with mercedes / bmw vs. the evo. It has speed, but it doesn't have luxury.
BTW, you guys haven't seen the 400hp modified cobra vs. the stock e55amg automatic have you ?
I'm sorry, but most ricers ON HERE don't even know a superior car when they see it in front of their face. I'd turn down any evo for a SL55 AMG/ e55 amg.

here's a bone stock dyno sheet of the e55 amg.

I'm sure a level 1 stage 5x34342 type R kit tuned from some shop can get you this power. But remember to wave at the ugly 400+hp mercedes flying by you while blowing his cold a/c riding on some nice HRE's...

(Sorry, i have a bit of things i want to blow off my shoulders, the tuning world changed a lot since the 90's diy to 'how much did the shop charge to install xxx' )
BTW, the mclaren mercedes SLR was one of the fastest cars tested on top gear, and it's automatic from the factory.

Because clearly there are people that have not gotten an EVO and they will decide to get the GSR instead of the MR not because of the price...but because of other things such as they want sunroof or leather or whatever else. So to answer your comment of "who wouldn't", those that haven't gotten the EVO but still chooses the GSR over the MR wouldn't. Again that is just my opinion and no one elses. I apologize if I seem to come off as a ahole, but I am just trying to get my point across.

lol - no problem , i understand your point. but if other people on here had the money like you do , then they would get the mr. i guess i will retract my statement "who wouldn;t get an mr" cause i guess your the exception. what if the mr was selling for 25k would you still not get it becuase its 25 k or do you want a sunroof instead??

have fun , you only live once!
