I don't get how the same publication can test a car 2 times and get such different numbers....
OK, I stand corrected, my appologese...It makes no sense to me, it worked fine for me this morning by just clicking on it, and now my stupid computer wants to play hard to get....
oh well, thanks for putting me straight, love seeing those rigs sideways!

Interesting figures but with todays electronics/chips you can over ride the electronically limited top speed. I would guess the STi will easily surpass 155mph top speed.
I purchased a 99z28 that was electronically limited to 116mph. It was limited to 116mph because the car came with 2:73 gears and the touring package. (all season tires - not Z rated).
I bought a hypertech reprogrammer for $350 and reprogrammed the computer and then took the car out and ran an easy155mph.

That's wrong!! I have personally been at 150mph (at a track!) and my RPMS were at 6300!! Twice!! So I know that before redline I can hit 160mph!! Somethin is weird there...
Car and Driver EVO vs STI
Ok not on newstands yet, but for the new C&D they test the EVO and STI. The Evo WINS. The reason why the Evo won is becasue the way it handles over the STI
. I love it. The STI was rated a 88 overall and the EVO got a 91. Check it out real good article. If any of you know who Peter Solberg is he is the one who tested both cars. Just in case you don't he is one of the best dirt track car drivers around.
