Grinding sound when turning right under power only

Okay, so I have a 2005 with ACD. The car just developed this issue over night. When I turn right, and right only, the car makes a really low grinding type noise. The car also gets a slight vibration I can kind of feel. If I turn right while coasting (in or out of gear) there is no noise. However, when giving it power, the sound happens. I am thinking the worst right now but hopefully someone will at least have went through this before so I can get any answer.

Start with simple stuff.jack up the car and start moving wheels could be wheel bearing, check cv couplers if they in tact stuff like that. Could be axle. Good luck.

Sounds like the outboard joint of an axle is bad.
Second to that could be a bearing, but normally is an axle issue.

Hope that helps

I had a similar issue when I got my car fixed from running over a valve in the middle of the road. I noticed when I turned right, I would hear a nasty grinding sound. I checked under, and it turned out, my wheels were scraping against the new splash guard they put in.. so I cut a piece out and no more noise. Might be an idea for you.

Thank you, I hope that's what is wrong. I definitely prefer an axle to expensive stuff.

Thanks to all of you. Always a great help when I post on the evo m boards.
