lifter tick?

Just got a new IX and it has developed a terrible sound. From looking around it could possibly be lifter tick, but it is really loud. I had a DSM and it ticked all the time, but not like this.
So I bled the lifters, same noise. Swapped them out with an extra set I had laying around, same thing.
A mechanic friend of mine said that it takes about a full day for the noise to quiet down, but I wasn't so sure. Any ideas would be awesome help. Thanks

That sounds more like piston slap. Especially if you used some known good lifters and still had the same sound. Also when was the last time the oil was changed? Oil weight used?

Does the car have any mods?

The car has 80k and the oil was just changed with 10w-30. I haven't verified it yet but the Pistons are supposedly wiesco and Manley h beam rods. Like I said, I just got this the other day and there was a slight tick then, but it has since gotten louder. I ticks during idle and during acceleration and deceleration. I can't hear it above 3k rpms

I'd suggest pulling and cutting open the oil filter looking for any signs of metal.

Don't run it unless you have to until you get it pulled down

Swap your lifters or bleed them. It doesn't take too long to do....then you'll know. I had a lifter go on me this summer and it sounded similar.

Already swapped the lifters. Checked the oil and it's clean. Someone else mentioned a possible exhaust leak from the manifold. Checked that and I'm not finding any leaks.

Do a compression check and leakdown test. See what the results are.....

My hydraulic tensioner failed on cold start and I had noise like that.

found the issue. wrist pin was loose. lost a rod, good thing is I wasn't beating on it when it dropped, so minimal damage.
