Hey guys I am trying to determine how much I could potentially sell my Evo IX. If this is not allowed I apologize and please delete. I was reccomended to look at the FS threads, but unfortunately I have not found an Evo IX that is similar in the last few weeks.
Long story short i have a 2006 stock evo with 164k miles.
Car is in excellent shape inside and out. Had it resprayed at dealership because it had some light fading on roof, and did whole car. I bought it from original owner who used it to daily commute which is reason for high mileage.
Replaced any worn parts shifterboot knob mats w new ones. Inside and out in excellent shape.
I am very OCD so I will say the slight imperfections
What I see wrong would be steering wheel seems to be a little open at the seam, ill attach pic. Also the roof moulding when painted it got a little bent and I when i ordered new one it did not come in saying it couldnt ship.
Also Hot/cold knob is a bit hard to move.
so basically i have a very clean evo ix with 164k any help is greatly appreciated, and if its not allowed I apologize!
Unfortunately I did not do much investigating when I purchased it, just ran carfax and went w what owner told me. Car runs and drives as it should, and was well mantained. I know all of this hurts the value which is why i am trying to figure out what it is worth!
I would say $18K if you replace the steering wheel with a lower mileage one and pick up that roof molding from a local Mitsubishi dealership.
I would also recommend taking it to a local shop that knows evos and have them check the compression, belts, and drivetrain. A clean bill of health will go a long way in attracting buyers that might otherwise not consider a high mileage car.

Thank you very much for the advice! I will see if there are any reputable shops nearby. Worst case I can tow it 4 hrs away to Tucson.
I'd ask 20k and see where it gets you. car looks very well taken care of and 160k on a stock clutch should say something to the buyer about how it was driven and maintained
After 164,000 miles I can't see four hours of driving ruining the value. Anyway, none of my business but seems odd.
I drove it home 12 hours, car runs and drives great, but I don't want to keep adding miles or risk paint chips and I have a diesel and nice trailer where I'd be a lot more comfortable driving in!
