I gave up my plates. I couldn't get an insurance company to cover the car. "We're aware of that location" is all they would tell me. I could get a cut-rate insurer but they would deny my claim if I actually suffered a loss. That's why I sold the Evo.

It was great until the information got posted all over social media.
It should be a no-go for CA residents soon, if it's not already.

 

That sucks but I think that might give me a higher quality of life due to less car mods, stress and problems to fix

 

Honestly, I started messing with cars that I don't have to worry about. One car is exempt, the other is exciting to drive without having to make it illegal.

Sooooo much less stress and 100% worth it. I have zero desire to "stick it to the man", these days.

Plus, I still get to live in CA, so win/win.
