06 evo 9 MR or IX?!

Hello, im new i will be gettin a evo very soon and im tryin to decide whch evo would be best to get? dont know alot about this car . so can anyone tell me the up's and down's of the two. which would be best and why? Oh yea i tryed using the search button but i kept gettin some type of error. thanx!

Get the IX GSR.

MR has a 6 spd IX has 5spd
MR has extra interior carbon fiber and BBS wheels instead of the other ones
whcih are enkei i think. bbs are also 4lbs lighter i heard. if u got the money get the MR its only a lil bit more. MR comes with bilstein shocks and the IX doesnt which means the MR has a better suspension.

Final drive: 4.529:1 6th: 0.693:1

on the MR, the 6speed is the only thing that you should consider. Ask yourself, "Do I want 6 or 5 speed?" im sure youll change the rims, then get a different suspension, even the gauges, but if money is not an issue, GO for the MR!

yea i used search but i keep gettin a error. tryed 10 times so sorry for another repost! but from what i heard the IX is more for like drag racing and the MR is more for autoX. but i think im gonna get the IX. i was gonna get the IX with the leather, sound, sunroof package. but i would not really need it. so im prolly just gonna go with the IX!

To somewhat answer ur question... if I had the money, i'd get an MR because I want the HID's and 6 speed, but dont want all the leather from the SSL package.

Get the most expensive one!

The Fake Carbon Fiber design is not just in the MR. It's in the RS and the GSR as well. IX (AKA GSR). If your changing suspension down the Line why bother with the Bilsteins? Your Rims will probably be changed out as well...

I went with the IX GSR W/SSL because I wanted the HIDs, Foglights, and Sunroof. I tried to get the Dealership to swap interior but they wouldn't do it...I almost traded Interior with someone but I grew attached to the leather interior.

Power wise....They are about the same. GSR with SSL is just a tad heavier...
