Any reason not to do it this way? I feel knowing oil pressure here would be more important than through my filter.

I guess if you have some new spot where you get oil off the head to lubricate your turbo... honestly that's like the last place I would source personally

Yeah we relocated to the oil filter housing, specially because i think the heat alone would just roast that piece.

Ya that runner would toast that sucker pretty quick.. why not just remove the factory oil press sensor(dummy light) and use that? Its what I used with zero issues and light for low oil doesn't come on.

A question..
I got the prosport oil pressure and temperature gauges.
What fittings exactly do I need in order to be able to connect both gauges?
I keep hearing that the evo is 3/8" but something about british units and what not.
Does anyone know exactly whats needed so I can go to ACE HARDWARE to get that stuff?

The oil pressure sender and temperature sender has a thread size of 1/8" NPT.

Thanks a lot
Best Regards
-Sergio Landeros

..finally got some pics

here is the place where I moved a factory oil pressure sender:

aftermarket sender installed in place of the factory one:

I had one additional pressure sensor with gauge laying around, so decided to hook it up to the head (note I have SAS disabled, it's valve, tubing and the mounting plate removed):

balance shafts are removed, bearings rotated and oil pressure reduced with an additional washer over the pressure regulating valve.
Oil: motul 300V 15w50
Pressure at idle (engine at operating temperature) -
Block: 1.9-2.0 bar (27-29 psi)
Head: 1.3-1.4 bar (19-20 psi)
Has anyone tried this position on an evo 8/9? I believe this is an evo 4 we are looking at.

Bumping this because of some broken links.

I currently have an AEM Oil Pressure sensor, with the AMS relocation line, installed into the plug by the oil filter. I plan on getting an AEM Oil Temp gauge as well. Does anyone have a working link to the tee that would fit into the AMS line that would allow me to use both the OP and OT sensors?

Thanks in advance, gentlemen!

Ahh! Thank you for the response. It seems that I misread the original post. The OP mentions that he had a tee left over, which is why it is used. I guess I skimmed over that part initially, and when I went looking for the tee to buy, I was unable to locate it. Fail reading skills on my part.

Thank you though!

Just doing mine tonight it bolts right in and there is a second plug on the oil filter housing so no need to use a T, for the temp sensor. The temp sensors weight next to nothing and have no overhang unlike the pressure sensors which could snap over time.
