You should call up STM and get the remote mount line kit. Mounting the sensor directly on the OFH can lead to sensor failure due to vibration. I've actually seen sensors fall apart and cause engine failure due to lack of oil pressure from oil exiting the system via the broken sensor.

I only wanted the oil temp one, but good advice for the pressure sensor.

You should not be putting an oil temp sensor on the OFH. It is an inaccurate reading. An oil temp sensor should only be in the pan. The OEM drain plug works perfectly to drill/tap for an 1/8 NPT sensor.

Does a pressure sending unit fit down there? I barely had enough room for an angled adapter and the line. Tight fit. Not that it's a good idea to put it on there, either way, of course.
Then again, my Autometer sensor is kinda big. LOL

I only install AEM or Zetronix stuff. Their pressure sensors are small. Maybe a touch bigger than a stock fuel injector, at most.

Ok so I got the AMS remote oil pressure sending unit to install an oil pressure gauge and move the sensor away from the engine and keep it safe at the same time. That way I don't have to deal with the 42 Draft designs adapter BS and the sensor going bad early.

https://www.amsperformance.com/cart/...unit-line.html

Can someone take a picture of which plug to pull out to connect the remote oil pressure sending unit? The original picture takes out both plugs for oil temp and pressure and I don't know which is which. I would just like to do the oil pressure one since I have the one that taps into the drain plug for oil temp.

Someone please help?

Old thread I know. I am planning to reroute the pressure sender using a stainless steel line. Where can I mount it in the engine bay using zip ties so it doesn't vibrate and damage the sender.

Anywhere works, as long as it's not on the engine.

How did you guys manage to get the one behind the oil filter. Not enough room to get a breaker bar onto it I think the control arm or whatever is in the way.

You need to use a plumbers torch to hear up the housing around the plug to melt the thread locker, other wise you'll never get it out.

Checking in to see what ports people are using if they have an Accusump system installed as well? The how to I've seen uses the same port for the accusump, so I'm curious where they are installing sensors.
