the install went fine!

you will need a brass adapter because the 1/8 npt sender is too small to fit in the oil plug. what i did was take out the hex key plug (some oil will leak out, make sure you have rag with you), went to an lordco (similar to Napa) and ask for an adapter. it looks like this:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/1-4-Male-to-1-8-F...item1c0e1ede7c

so far, im good. no leaks or anything. make sure you put some teflon on the threads to avoid any leak. sorry im not sure about the size of the male fitting.

i hope this helps yo!

Kind of bringing back a dead thread but I purchased Prosport Oil Pressure and Temperature gauges and they work great.

I reccomend doing this when you are doing an oil change. You can drain from the pan, remove the filter and then pop the two allen nuts on the oil filter housing itself.

I bought a 3/8 to 1/8 reducer for my oil temperature gauge to adapt to the filter housing.
I bought the AMS Remote Oil Pressure Sender line from MapPerformance.com (cheaper shipping than AMS direct) and used that for oil pressure.

Used my teflon sparingly because with teflon on every bolt it caused leaks. Especially on the AMS remote line. It doesn't need the teflon tape.

Oil pressure works great, I get a reading of around 30-25psi at idle. Is that normal? Little low?

Oil pressure will vary for just about every car. I think a safe place to look is about 12-20psi at idle, about 40-50 at cruise and give or take about 1psi of pressure for every pound of boost. So if you are at 25 PSI (of boost) max you should be around 75-80 PSI of oil pressure.
I could be wrong though

my car kept spinning bearings and i did not know why until I put my AEM oil pressure gauge in and at idle it was around 10-11 psi and crusing at around 45-50 psi and it still spun the bearing even though I put a brand new oil pump in it so we took out the oil filter housing and shimmed the check valve spring now it idles at around 40psi and crusing at around 60-80 sometimes 100 psi

I just did this mounted to the oil filter housing and i dont know if im having a problems, but during start up my oil pressure varies from +100 to 85, and during short drives idle is 12-20 psi which all sounds normal, but after driving an hour to work idle is 6-8 psi and 5th gear at 3000 rpm im getting about 40 to 50 psi

I would advize you to get that checked out my car was idling at 10-11 psi when the car is warm and I spun bearings within 2 days this is the 4th time for the year my car spun bearings and I just put the oil pressure gauge in at the 3rd build so I dunno if it was idling like that before when i did the first 2

I am a little bit mixed up .... I just receive my STRI Xline oil temp gauge and they game me some golden fiting in the kit. So if i understood right, Theses damn fiting will not work on the oil filter housing ans I will have to buy an other fu&*?$% fitting ?

What size is the fitting? What size is the oil pressure sender? If its the standard 1/8 NPT better off buying the AMS kit: http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/A...Unit-Line.html. Save yourself the hassle and potential failures.

so the ams sender kit uses the 1/8 NPT which will fit on this fitting http://store.42draftdesigns.com/Lanc...ptor_p_53.html and that fitting goes into the hole where the plug used to be. Then do we use tefflon tape or this http://www.permatex.com/products/Aut...ad_Sealant.htm to seal all or some of the threads?

Or should we use this fitting? http://store.42draftdesigns.com/Lanc...ptor_p_55.html

I don't see a T-fitting, is that necessary and if so, where do we get it?
