If you don't mind could you post any problems you have during Install and any pictures would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to bring an old thread back to life, but the hole ABOVE the oil filter is a 1/2 NPT? I cant seem to get a straight answer about that. I hear 3/8 NPT and 3/8 BSPT, etc.

3/8 BSPT, by the way. It doesn't taper as much as NPT.

I'm looking to put the oem plug back into where the sender would screw into the oil filter housing, can someone tell me where I can source it?

Where are the 1/8 NPT to 3/8 BSPT adapters being sold? 42 draft designs adapter is out of stock.

I Googled "3/8 BSPT male to 1/8 NPT female adapters". And yes, they are pricey. But you should only have to buy one for the lifetime of your car. So, $25 isn't too big of a deal.

If there's a cheaper and equal quality option why not pay less?

Does anyone know of a alternative to the 42 Draft Design adapter that's around $10?

Then feel free to find it. I'm saying if it's all you can find, then no big deal. Hardly any other part for our car is anywhere near that cheap

I'd rather pay an extra $15 and have it on the way so I'm done with it, than spend forever on the internet trying to save a few bucks.

Good luck, either way and at least you have a plan B.

Thanks for cluttering up a simple question which you gave absolutely ZERO help. It would have been so much easier for you to just ignore my question.

I don't care what you rather do. Spend forever? The post hadn't been up 24hrs...only a few mins before your crap reply.

This forum was made to share better, cheaper and innovative ways to do things. So **** off with your good luck BS.

I'm trying to help you save some time as opposed to endlessly searching for something you said you couldn't find. And yes, "spend forever". I assume you did due diligence before posting on this site. apparently not. If you are going to get all upset because I'm not helping you save $15 dollars then, fine. Find your own stuff. If you want to cheap on your car over less than 20 ****ing dollars, that's your prerogative.
Good luck.

I already know, as we have discussed before, of the option you took. Please stop cluttering up the thread. Someone else might have another option that may rival your "Google it" advice.

Anyone ELSE know of an adapter fitting solution?
