Sometimes I drive slower than the posted speed limit. It's when it's dark and I have cars coming my way and I can't drive with high beams on. There's ****load of deer in my area, every other week someone hits one.

No one should blame the EVO because 45 miles on the rain will not put you all this deep far in the bushes. you were going fast as i can see you went way far in. Good luck and drive safe and stop acting like a kid.
I have to agree. It is very hard to lose traction at 45mph even if the roads are wet. I am a youngster too only 20 and I pay for my evo and for my lancer oz and used to own a 95 4runner. I have a lot more experience in driving then most people my age though. One I have driven crappy cars, repos(both manual and auto) that have been trashed in everyway driving in very nasty winter conditions and I have also driven very nice cars from 5.0 mustangs, wrx's,lexus, tahoes, navigators and escalades. I have had a lot of experience in snow with wrx's, and other 4x4's and even 2wds. Yes I am young have driven wreckless before, but have learned from it and grown out of it there is a time and place for this and I do hate how some people hate on us because they think we can't drive fast cars. It is just sad to see this and give us youngsters a bad name with fast cars. You can't always blame youngsters though I have seen older men wreck, and their car wrecks are a lot worse sometimes. (Enzo's, vette's, etc.). It is just sad to see anyone wreck a car and a motorcycle for that matter. I feel bad for the MR

my brother has an rsx type s and it recently rained over the last week. neither him nor i were able to make the car spin out or even lose grip in POURING rain without using the e-brake. i kno that the type s has good handling and tires, but i also know the evo, (especially the MR ) has way better handling and way better tires. We even did 35 on a residential type of turn, car didnt even slip. and btw, the type s is completely stock. something doesnt sound right about his story here. if he lied about his 200 miles cuz he was embarrassed (excuse if spelled wrong), maybe he'll lie about this accident cuz hes too embarassed? .who knows, its good that your ok, but i dont completely buy your story.

Nice Car!

Congrats on the purchase. Glad to hear you were able to get it at sticker. Me too. They looked at me funny when I offered 2k below, though.

My Graphite Gray MR now has 36 miles after picking it up at the dealer today. OP Mitsubishi in Overland Park, KS. They got 5 total and have 3 left. No white ones, though.

All I can say is boost is cool. Even at 70mph, 6th gear pulls nicely.

This kid should take a performance driving course. Damn he must be spoiled...'cause he doesn't even care. He obviously loves the Evo because he saw in on Gran Turismo. I hope he doesn't get laid for at least a year.

Yeah man 45 mph and losing control, thats pretty fishy sounding, especially in 4th gear. So be honest, tell us there was no deer, and that you were just driving like an ******* and wrecked your car. A buddy of mine crashed his mothers sl500 into the woods, luckily we were ok, car wasnt totalled, 35k of damage isnt totalled on a 107k car lol. Just really don't drive it fast if you don't know how. I am 18 now and have had my evo since I was 17 and you just have to be smart with what you do. Instead of going into parking lots at night, go during the weekends during the day and do an autocross or two, thats the right place to learn the limits, plus there no trees to find...

Jesus, crashing the car after 90 miles?! K, I'm pretty damn close to your age so heres so advice....
Sell the car and get yourself someone with less power. That way you learn responsibilty and skill on a car that won't get out of hand when you screw up. I'm sorry for you lose, but if you want to honor your dads memory go out and do something with your life. Get a college education and become a well rounded man. Your dad won't care if your driving a civic. All the young ones on this forum need to get off the older guys backs. There is a reason why we say wisdom comes with age. Listen to them for gods sake. Stereotypes don't get started without due cause. Our age bracket is the most dangerous on the roads simply because we tend to do stupid crap and not know how to deal with it. This is a prime example. We should all learn something from this and try it to apply to our own driving.

Learn how to spell? What are you 5? This is not a jealousy issue. This is a giving advice to someone of similar age issue. This is why young drivers are not respected at all. Rather than confront the actual issue and form real arguments they pull crap like "Learn to spell" or "it was on tuesday actually". If this was a debate class, pulling crap like that would make you the special kid.

Well guess what? You just poped the cars cherry and to tell you the truth it's not a big deal.
Remember it's only a car the important thing is that you're ok and nobody was hurt. Take it easy driving around and give yourself time to learn to drive your car properly. This sort of thing happens to all of us(at one time or another) and we all learn from it. Personaly I think maybe you should have gotten a different car to get used to driving in different environments but that's only my opinion. Remember it's not getting to where your going the quickest, it's getting there that counts. Good luck, becareful and stay in one piece.

S*** happens, I've been there. I totalled a car..as in flipped it END over END across a field at 90+ mph when I was 20. I was and still am a prett capable driver. I hit a bump in the road around a corner and the rear of the car got air...and once it was in the air...it just spun around until I flew off the road and did a backwards flip through a drainage ditch. Luckily I was ok...my car on the other hand..was not. Had it for a whole 3 days and 300 miles.

Glad you are OK.

None of us will really no what happened. You already admitted to lieing about the mileage so what is stopping you from lieing about the details of how it happened?!

When it comes to young adults and fast cars all I can say is that older, more mature and experienced drivers (history and time driving not who has more performance driving skills) have more impulse control. Yes we all speed, drive reckless and have road rage at times but statistically, physically, and pyschologically older adults control their impulses and urges better than young adults. And I am not talking about all young adults just most, so don't take it personal, believe me you will agree when you get older.
