You act like it was the evo's fault.

Anybody else suspicious of the deer story? Methinks this was 100% Andretti Jr's doing. The deers were watching safely from the side of the road.

Good luck with your new profession.

I believe that most of you who are older that have commented in this thread know that they at one point or another have done the same, which in turn makes you hypocritical of the younger members here.
There is a difference between being hypocritical and giving sound advice based on experience. Ask anyone how much different their lives would have been if they knew then what they know now!!!

Right now 16 year olds are receiving some of the best Drivers Education that our world has ever offered. Yet I believe it could still improve.
I hope by world you are speaking of the USA, because while that may be very true it doesn't come close to what European kids have to go through to get their licenses. Usually a couple hundred hours in classes and on the road plus a couple of grand.

Well, it's not that bad, but don't expect to be driving it for a while, those bushes must have been hell on the paint so it will need to be redone. Live and learn, I canpromise you that this will not be forgotten easily. But it seems to be the hard lessons that teach you the most.....

at least ur okay

man that sucks. something like that nearly happened to me tho i was in my bros accord and as i was driving i hit a small bump sending the car out of control. instead of braking i controlled that **** but if i had used the brakes i would have skid sideways and got some minor damage, so yeah dont worry about it. you're alrite nad at least u LEARN your lesson at an earlier age where u can use it for the rest of ur life. stay safe and remember it's every <20yr olds fantasy to be able to say they have an evo! i had one but had dealer took it back and now im drivin the safest slowest piece of **** a 04 vw jetta gl :> 115hp baby!!!

Ahhh, yeah.Think there was a deer at all??Looks like a panic after coming into a corner to fast.I would agree with the fact that no 19 year old needs this kind of car with an exception of one..a pro driver/racer.But I dont know any 19 year old that would say no to a free MR.Even the guys who are harrassing him would have taken the car in a heartbeat when they were 19.I blame this on the mother. You could tell from the cocky/I wanna be a gangsta attitude pics from the purchase that he had no respect for the car and was just being cocky.Everyone knew this was coming.Must be nice to buy the fastcar that you seen on the cover of Motor Trend with cash to remember your dad by(?).Your dad wanted you to have a MR for his last wish?I think not.Its ashame about the car and your lucky to be alive. And its true what they are saying...you really do appreciate and RESPECT things you work for and pay for out of your own pocket.Good luck,I think your going to need it.

Wow all the noobs bein haters. ...glad you are alright although I do have to lean with the evom population on the fact that you must respect this car. Maybe it was an honest accident (deer or no deer)...only you will truly know and learn from it. Use your dad's gift to make you happy...not kill yourself.

No one needs an evolution, period. Unless you need an evolution because you are an unsponsered racer car drive, there is no reason to have it more than a civic.

You are absolutely correct. The problem I see is that a lot of you first say "typical younger driver crashes because of in-experience" which comes off hypocritical because everyone here (unless you got your license at a much older age) was a typical younger driver at one point or another. Only then is there a follow up from people saying that they are happy that he was not injured, and then give advice to go to driving school. I'm not defending him, nor his actions. I just feel that people first badger him with something that we all already know is true but yet still bothersome for someone in his position, then they offer up an alternative. I for one would be more open to advice from someone who just offered it up without the "o by the way you are a typical kid who crashed a perfectly good car because you don't know how to drive yet". I think he knows what happened and where he was at fault, no need to state the obvious. Seems almost John Maddenish, A.K.A. Master of the Obvious, to me.

That is right, I should have stated the US because in general the European Countries have some added steps. Some have more classes, but most average the same as the US. The major difference is the amount of money that is required, in that the US license is fairly cheap to obtain. Then again you also have to look at one added feature that Europe has that the US doesn't. That would be excellent Public Transportation. I'm not talking just about major metropolitan areas either. Buses/Trains (subway if you are in the US) extend much farther out then we do here. It also is much more efficient.

Your right, no one "needs" this car, there is no reason to "need" to accelerate 0-60 in 5.3 seconds, there is no "need" to have a top speed of 154mph. The fact is unless you are an unsponsered professional racer who races as a job, there is no reason to own this car over something like a civic. Blaming it on his mother? I'm sure she is trying her hardest to raise the kid right, everyone makes mistakes. I highly doubt she intended for this to happen. Ugh, I can't even write anymore, you are an envious disgusting person. I feel sorry for you having to live with yourself, you miserable human being.
Hey tough guy, did someone strike a nerve?? It is just conversation and opinions, if YOU can't deal with respecting others opinions and conversations, well then you have a problem my friend.
