As promised Here is the scoop. The car is now once again very drivable. I still dont really know what was causing the stumbling on pull away but its gone now. I am back on maf and the car feels so much better. I learned alot these past few days. The loss was so minimal and the drivability is up 90%. I only lossed about 8 whp and 13 wtq. Not only is that very small but these dynos were a week apart. So no telling what I would've dynoed today on the sd. The loss could've been smaller. But regardless it looks to be about 8-10 whp and 10-15 wtq loss being on maf. I can easily get it back.In fact I could lower the boost and run E85 if I desired. But the car is a freakin monster as is and its a road course car. So I want to get comfortable with the cuurent power. At some point I will build a bottom end and go E85 and make 550 whp But for now I am very happy with a solid 400 whp 93 ocatane car. Here are the graphs.

still looks very strong.. good stuff! personally ive been in aem sd cars, stock ecu, etc.. my maf car drives smoother then any sd car ive ever been in.

you could toggle with the desired ISCV also to make the idle air controller throw you some rev's inbetween shifts also to make it even smoother.

but ya as you can see, the maf is a little restrictive. were the temps about the same on both dyno days?

Thanks. Yes it was a bit warmer and more humid today. Not much loss but I would say there is a slight loss due to restriction. The drivability is worth a 30whp loss to me

what boost you running on pump this time around to get you those numbers? I am running 31, that falls a bit to about 27psi on e85 and I am making 431. I am willing to sacrifice power for pump gas again though. Im sick of this e85 crap. Unless you have a built motor and want some big power, I would say go with pump gas to anybody out there reading this lol.

Glad to see you got everything squared away with the car on MAF! Hopefully you'll get a chance to enjoy the car and keep it for a while... Give me a call sir so I can get the inside scoop. BTW I'm pretty sure he was on ~26 PSI with the final numbers. -J

This makes me rethink going SD on my car. This is almost exactly how I'd like my car to be, eventually LOL Hows the 6 speed holding up any issues there yet?

Brian I couldn't agree with you more on the SD vs. MAF drivability. I agree with you 200%! I've heard it all and seen most of it. Had multiple tuners here and have yet to be impressed with SD.....hope this doesn't take your thread off topic.

Actually, I have nothing else to say on the topic so don't anyone ask me in this thread, please.

Thanks guys. Yes I was on the same amount of boost at 26 psi. We redid everything but tuned the same. 11.5 afr's, 26 psi. Only diffrence was the airflow restriction since I installed a smaller diameter FP maf pipe and of course maf. Doing this made us back out some timimg. So between airflow restriction and less timing we lost a little whp/wtq. The car drives 100x better so it was well worth it. E85 is amazing for sure, but just not realsitic for me. We only have two gas stations that carry it. One is on a toll road(turnpike and the other is way out west of town). I just dont like worrying about looking for fuel on trips either. And not too mention most race tracks dont carry it. I usually run through two full tanks of gas (93 ocatne)a day on a road course. So thats alot of E85. And if they dont carry it I have to. I sold my truck/trailer so no way am I loading the car up with 30 gallons of e85 in containers. The car as promised is a daily driver and drives to and from the track. 400 plus whp on a sub 3000# car is plenty of fun at the track anyways. But to sum it up, going back to maf is one of the best things Ive done so far. I just dont like SD...

MAF for sure,i never did like the issues with sd either, but then again i never ran sd on a stock ecu, just the 1313u...so my bias is a little lopsided..when we gonna line em up brian-LOL

I think you built an awesome setup for what your going to do with the car. I honestly want to go the some route with my car. Having a 400whp 93 pump daily driver that can be driven to track days and handle a 30 minute session RELIABLY is perfect in my opinion. More power always sounds better on paper but its unnecessary to have fun at a track day. What brake setup do you plan on doing as far as pads and rotors?
